The title almost says nothing about this.
A new feature that goes on the top of a topic with jobs and an apply button that is set by the person who made the post.
There would be 3 or more jobs on this add on

Editor - Can change almost anything in the topic
Publisher - Can add to the first post
Filter - Can go through and delete any posts in the topic
Judge - Helps judge contests

Some people might be saying what the **** am i talking about but its really hard to explain.
Ill try to add what the interface might look like

Editor - {Apply}
Publisher - {Apply}
Filter - {Apply}
Judge - {Apply}

This is so people can have "Mods" or "Editors" for there own topics.
Example:
Need orginization in a topic but your WAY to busy or you have a close friend that you want to help in your topic.

Another way this can be done without adding interface is being able to give people special permissions in there topic.

So you want people to have greater control over their own topic and to be able to share this with other people?

I actually kind of like this idea, it gives contest hosters the ability to go through and delete, or sort out the whole topic, and moderate their own topic without having to beg a mod to do it. (Which the mods will still probably not do.)

Meaning if you have a topic thats overly busy and you want help they can help you literally in your topic.
Also it gives them more control like FDTG said of course this permission cant be given to anyone but can be given to people who have active topics.
Maybe even add this as a new group?

Edit: Ex.
Topic starter: I NEED HELP IN MY TOPIC ITS SO BUSY.
Other: Oh ill help!
Topic starter: How?
Other: I dunno... just if i could edit your topic,
Topic: Wait! What if you could?

It's not group worthy, I'll tell you that. The properties that would be attached would be topic based, not user based.

I hope you realize that Cleod is far too busy already to code in an arbitrary, complex system at the request of a single person. Find a phpBB mod for this or give up.

I was trying to act out a scenario.
If you had a topic that was overly busy but didnt have the time to be active in it you might want help from a friend.
But thats only possible if they can edit your topic.
Therefore - Permisions/topic jobs hosted by the topic poster

Edit:
I also believe im speaking for anyone who needs help in their topics.
I mean you could even use this feature in the SSF2 section - you could have someone moderate it without having to have all the other abilities

You know the stuff that CCS keeps resetting her sig centre for? That sort of stuff.

Also, for projects being worked on by more than one person or if more than one person is an expert on it and the OP is the main source of info, they both can make improvements.

Agreed but it would still be a very nice feature.
Maybe after 0.7?

I knew that.
But normally bug fixes would be fixed by mods.
