Snails on speed... Quite interesting. Also, don't ask why I know methamphetamine is popularly called speed.
The experiment seems to have quite interesting results so far. It would be great if findings could be applied to drug rehabilitation programs in the future.
Though poking humans might not be the solution.
I wonder how animal activists regard this form of experimenting on snails, though. Of course, snails get through far worse in the average kitchen garden.

I wonder how I missed that. Animals have the right to use drugs recreationally too, especially if it benefits science!

But I was talking of the poking!
Heh, nice retort. Touché.

Very interesting...
... I wonder, what if you give snails cocaine? Will the snail start to "bubble" just like its reaction to salt?

That last paragraph is a bit creepy. Basically speaking, this research could lead to directly manipulating and erasing memories. The conspiracy theorists are gonna s*** themselves. At the same time, it is exciting. Analyzing the effects will teach us about some of the brain's innermost workings, which we know very little about.

It technically could, but it does not seem very feasible to me to apply such methods usefully for a ruler with a lack of scruples. Anyway, I am mostly curious about the results for drug rehabilitation programs. This could increase their effectiveness vastly.
