some anime i've watched in 1080p (original size 720p) looked great on my mom's 60" TV

if something is made at a certain resolution then that is the resolution you should be watching it at

anything else will look worse

and if you're watching something on a 60 inch TV then it doesn't matter anyway because you're not going to be close enough to notice the difference you're hailing

not just on 60" TV's either, the TV in my room is 46" (so i sit much closer) and i get the same result
