What people seem to forget is the fact that a forum is owned, therefore the owner can do as they please. They could totally rule with an iron fist and/or use their power for their own s****. Of course, Cleod is a benevolent being so he does neither.

Yes, Cleod asks for our opinion. Although he really doesn't use it, he at least listens to us.

I think if we just say it the right way then the rule will make more sense, it doesn't seem specific enough in it's current state.

Don't bump if topic is 2 weeks old and has nothing to contribute to the conversation.

1) Why would you bump if a topic is 14 days old, how long have you been waiting for an answer? Generally, the only reason to bump is if you have a question unanswered.

Well I was thinking of bumping the TF2 thread in PC Games, since I just got it, but I just realized that its 14+ days old.

Also, the N-game is 14+ days old but I wanna say something that's kind of helpful.

I won't mind you bumping the TF2 thread, if you believe have something good to say. I check the Electronics and Entertainment section often so its like my little corner of MLG.

Thats a showcase thread. No mod should be warning or banning a user for bumping a thread made for a specific game, platform, or tv show, since that constitutes a showcase thread. There is no need for more threads of the same topic that can be expected to be talked about on and off for a long time.

Maybe there should be a topic "Bump discussion" in which you could post to ask the appropriate mod wheather or not you could bump a topic, and explain why. Only problem is, where would we put the topic?

Make it a sticky in other section.

That seems extensive, even Thai said that the TF2 thing was fine as long as you had something valuable to say. Perhaps we should just give a warning that bumping topics over 2 weeks old it's up to the moderator's discretion whether or not you get in trouble for it.
