after mulling it over from watching a let's play here are some things i wanna say about this game

concept art galore

P.S. sonic could have looked way worse just like soooooooooo much worse.

the f*** concept art makes it look like it was gonna be so promising its just like wow. the game had alot of good ideas that were just rushed and very unfinished. like if this thing had the time put into it and didn't get hit with some many damn issues along development it looked like it could have been at least decent.

the writing is hit or miss as crazy f*** but its not all bad.

Knuckles may be stupid but he isn't full on retarded which is at least bearable. seeing how gullible he is normally in sonic anything.

Shadow has literally no purpose what so ever and is just there to be the typical "Friends hold you back and i'm stronger because i have none" and he strangely still has his chaos moves

Sticks is a republican so that's funny

Sonic is sonic nothing changed there

Amy is cool and all until she does the whole girl power stuff. at least she has a purpose now (she is like an archeologist or some s***.)

they limited tails to just tech and not all around general smarts.

eggman is the same but he really isn't as evil as he should be so that sucks.

The game literally is made for co-op but from everything i have seen co-op makes it even more buggy.

the game is bad i know that but i stopped looking at only just that and started looking at the fact that they had good ideas just f*** up royally and what those ideas were.

Edit: even the environments in the gameplay aren't that bad i mean they fit the perfectly with what they were going for.

basically everything about the ancient lab is a portal ripoff
that robot owl should have been a villain

After seeing picture #17, I'm glad the way it turned

Just play Sly Cooper then I mean that has a robot owl and it's also actually a good game so

I hate to jump on a hate train, but it seems like Sonic Boom everything is gonna be a** through and through.

I was trying to get in the groove of the 3DS version, but it's f*** terrible. Gameplay falls flat, and character switching seems forced. Sonic has outstanding mobility on ground and in the air, and they expect you to want to play was the non-flying Tails or the ground-based Knuckles/Sticks. Boomerangs solved nothing.

Rise of Lyric has really annoying music and vocals. Gameplay could use improvement.

The biggest thing that still annoys me is the body type shift. Some benefitted (Tails is just his old self with gear on, Sticks has the old body type and Amy looks more expressive), and some... didn't. Knuckles isn't even the one who lost in this one, has anyone seen Shadow and Metal Sonic?

Sigh...

Shadow's appeareance in this game serves little to no purpose. He is devoid of any character, moreso than usual. They just stuck him in to give the fans a blowjob and it did not work out well.

In general, with regards to the concept art and everything, it seems like Big Red Button absolutely didn't have the mindset of designing a Sonic game. They just wanted to make a game like Crash Bandicoot or Jak&Dexter and stuck Sonic in it and as the concept art designs show they clearly have no idea how the f*** the character works. The game pays little to no respect to the source material. this game is like a deviant art Sonic OC fanfic. I feel bad for Sega, seeing the concept art I now understand why they got increasingly worried about the project, and I think the only reason they allowed this trainwreck to continue is because of legal reasons. Them refusing to send out review copies to me implies that they weren't confident in the final product at all.

Time to replay Sonic Colours and Sonic Generations!

It's not about me wanting to have a robot owl villain, he just has a good design. Better than a giant snake with robot arms.

I've been playing both of the Sonic Rush games a lot, in the past week or so, and actually I still really enjoy them, which is a pleasant surprise.

But some of the optional stuff in Sonic Rush Adventure is really, really hard. D:

it shouldn't be much of a surprise. sonic rush series + ds colors were good games

Man I loved Sonic rush adventure...
But I sold it to get Golden sun The Lost Age
I have no regrets
