The only two speculations I have is that:
Mewtwo will return. (Already said, but I say it again, Mewtwo was boss.)
There will be characters from other PLATFORMS. (Not games, PLATFORMS! [i.e. XBox360])

I really really really doubt both of them.

You know, I've had this feeling since I read that message from Masaya Kobayashi, but, what if they don't have a big team of Nintendo's music composers and the Smash Bros orchestra doing the music for SSB4 like they did for Brawl? Since Namco Bandai is developing the game, does that mean the original brawl composers won't be making the music, instead, being made by a team of Namco Bandai sound composers? It really worries me that people like Shogo Sakai and Motoi Sakuraba might not return to make music in SSB4, and the game may not have full orchestra music.

Since Bamco's in on this one, I think it'd be kinda cool if Lloyd got in. Then we can make jokes about them copying us that will stop being funny after a week but live on for all eternity.

But I think Pac-Man is more likely.

also i think with bandai they may actually make a decent storyline

Also means All-Star Battle will take longer to complete per character seeing as how there will likely be more characters than Brawl this time around.

Yeah it might take a while to defeat 40-50 characters...

Actually Sakurai has a good point. If they only introduce a handful of new characters, or even none, and focus on making the existing characters more unique I wont be sad.

I would be. That's the whole point of Smash, is the characters. I mean hell, if your friend told you a new Smash was just announced, you wouldn't say "is it balanced?", you'd say "Who's in it?".

I do like balance, of course. I'd love for Bowser to finally become something more than a pile of crap. But I don't think it's as hard to balance a 50 character set as he's implying, especially since he has a team of balancers now. (For those that don't know, Sakurai said recently that he alone did the balancing for the last three Smash games, which would explain the poor balance)
