As easy as what the title says. We should have only one section for game discussions (called game discussions, duh).

If you wish, you can also also have sub-sections called Console discussion and PC discussions, but having them completely isolated is ridicule.
Also, there are some games or games discussions which doesn't belong to a specific type of machine; examples:
  • Gta discussion topic
  • What's your favorite video game character?
(last example is lame, but it full fills its objective)

Or... you realize that the PC is a platform for gaming, not a console.

So why do we have a moderator section? :wee:

Section for the dick suckers moderators to make them feel special talk about important issues on the forums. It's just a forum that is named "moderator section"

Not a bad idea.

But if we have separate subsections, all the topics will go in the separate subsections, and rarely anyone will post in the actual forum, because the majority of the posts are about either Console Gaming, or PC Gaming, not both.

You would probably rather create a subsection in Console Gaming called "Console/PC Gaming Combined"

oh better idea

let's have gaming so we can discuss consoles, handhelds, AND computer games there. yes.

then let's have "Computers" as a subsection of general technology so we can discuss folding@home and hard drives all that that other geeky junk. Everybody wins.

Nobody really posts in PC gaming anyways >.<

I approve of the notion that we should merge the console and PC, even if the former is the bastard child of the latter. Besides, I stroll around the PC section often (read, every time I visit), so if they're combined, I could keep watch over more topics at once.

Ok, but I believe TSON's idea is the best one this far, don't you?

Doesn't General Electronics cover that already? There is no need to cover such a subset. The General Electronics board is still quite small and we'll cross that bridge once we get to it. That is to say, if the bridge will still be there at all.

See but we could make it larger faster this way. And I barely ever see new posts in PC gaming anyways

I think you're may be confused. I am for the merge of PC and Console gaming. General PC discussions can happen in the Electronics section. There is no need for a sub-forum of any kind.

:O_o:

Lots of people post in the PC Gaming section. It's not a ghost town yet.

If one of the sections was dead then I'd consider it, but it certainly doesn't look that way.
