So I just got FL Studio 10 the other day and it's f%$#in' awesome. :wee:

I made my first song and I realized it sounds better with a metronome. Is there any way for me to export the song along with the metronome as one mp3 file? I checked Google and some other sites, but haven't found anything on this, so any help is appreciated.

P.S. Not 100% on if this is the right section for this, so if it isn't, my apologies.

It sounds better with the metronome because that's the beat.

its separate from my main song though. it's a constant, simple beat, and it only plays when I turn it on - but I want it to play all the time, even when its exported to mp3. get it?

Dude just use the simple beat maker to make a metronome... make the tom a little higher and to the beat and your set.

I guess I could do that, but my custom metronome wont sound like the default ones that are provided. Thanks anyways for the help.

FL Studio 10?
I'm still using 9, f***. Well, anyway. What you could do is open up FL Kick and right click the channel, then click 'Set every 2 steps' or something like that
Then you'll get a kick keeping the beat.

although if that's too fast you could set it to every 4 or 8 steps iirc

imo it's much more bro to make music jimmy hendrix style: without knowing s*** about music theory
then again i am obligated to say that re: i don't know s*** about music theory

ignoring the fact the guy doesn't realize that music has a beat and the metronome sounds good with the music because there of said inherent beat

i mean that's day one music theory

I'm pretty sure he knows that... otherwise he wouldn't know how to use the metronome to begin with...
Not to mention the fact that a song having a beat is more then basic, heck I wouldn't even consider it music theory.

I strongly suggest mixing songs and mashing songs before actually making songs, that way you get experience with the program. Either way my friend just made his first 100% original song but it came after 100+ mixes, I would post it but I don't think its worth it because its a such a raw song.

And yea thats probably what happened =p if your mixing a song you actually want to start with the drum/beat track anyways

Lots of songs do start with little riffs or cord proggressions but without any knowledge of guitar/piano/etc. its p. hard to start a song from a riff.
Thats good, its not like you have to do mixes before you move to original work, it just helps because you know your way around the program.
