Seeing the names / some preview images of the tracks is not the same as actually playing them

You're missing my point entirely

It does not f*** matter

Seeing something is not the same as playing it

What about this is hard to get? Nothing. Stop trying to piss me off.

Stop being contrarian for the sake of it

Experiencing a track for the first time while playing it and while watching someone else play it are two different experiences

Since you can only experience it for the first time once, why would you not do it yourself given the choice?????

But then why see any of the game when you could experience it all for the first time instead

Why read anything about the game when you could learn it all through playing it?

Best avoid everything in life in case I see somebody else doing it instead of me

Please be less autistic

Why should I eat food when I've seen other people eat food already

To which you'll say "eating food and seeing people eat food are two different things"

To which I'll reply "playing a game and seeing somebody play a game are two different things"

And then we'll be done here

Thank you

Well, I think it depends of the game. On an RPG or a game with an actual plot, seeing someone else play the game is going to spoil a lot of things, but games that are mostly played for multiplayer value like fighters, racers or sports games, don't lost that much when you know the secrets.

But if someone doesn't want to know and experience everything without spoilers, it is going to add a small element of surprise. In my opinion, knowing how the track is (not the exact path) doesn't detract much from the experience, but I can see how someone would like to unlock them without hearing about them

if you just watch a track you're not 'experiencing it for the first time' since you're not even playing

even if you already know how the track is, when you first experience it is when you play it by yourself

I think the principal point being made is not the "experience" itself, but the feeling of "Wow they made this into a track"

I still don't agree with this point of view (for example, what is the difference of seeing the preview on a YouTube video from seeing it on the game itself), but I can see why they like it that way

Fundamentally, I don't like to know everything about a game before I play it

It is more fun to play the track myself, learning it as I go, than it is to watch someone else play it and then play it myself

This is not a hard concept to understand

I know you understand it Kyuubit because you said something not long ago about being glad you didn't watch the 3D World trailers
