1 was one of my favourite games ever, 2 was about as good as it could possibly have been as a followup to 1, and I liked it a lot, but can't help but not really remember it as fondly as 1.

i think portal as a saga is one of the best ever.
in a technical point of view: -both portal 1 and 2 have really good story. -both games have tons of easter eggs. (the cake is a lie, turret opera... and such) -both games have a very good sense of humour (geez, GLaDoS has absolutely hilarious quotes, i remember something like this in portal 2: "remember a while ago when i said it was boring to try and get rid of all the trash inside my test chambers? i'll be honest. i was refering to you. i just thought that, since you didnt react at all, you probably missed that insult, and so an apology would be insane. so, i just insulted you twice, so that you know why im sorry." "remember a while ago when i said you were progressing faster than i could rebuild the chambers? well, i'd like to thank you - you really DID slow down. how about moving a bit faster now? youre getting boring to watch". same humour kudos goes for Weathley. -both games have absolutely brilliant concept art and design. Glados. the Cores. the Turrets. -good physics engine. -multiplayer in Portal 2. all in all one of my favourite games of all time. _________________ Some claim, the glass is half full. I just don't think the portal games are that good I mean I don't think puzzle and shooter belong together
