I'm not sure what L-canceling is, but I wanna improve my skills with (mostly with ), so could someone plz tell me what
L-canceling is and what it can do/help with?

L-cancelling is not in the game.
In Melee, you pressed the L button during aerial attacks to reduce landing lag.
In SSF2, landing lag is already reduced, so it's not needed.

Some people get teching confused with L-canceling, but more likely what you were getting confused by was that people sometimes refer to the low landing lag as "automatic L-canceling" which while effectively equivalent, is not accurate.
