Thanks in advance

Reflector has many uses. It can be used to extend combos and to gimp opponents, which is called shine spiking. It doesn't really spike or meteor smash the opponent, but semi-spikes them.

Shine can be jump canceled like it can in Melee. Hold down special and jump. You can follow up with any aerial or grab or up smash. The most known combo is nair/neutral air > shine/reflector > bair/back air.

I've been practicing with my for for a while, and I've found quite a nifty kill confirm for him:

Sliding shine > jump cancel-up smash

The one thing I need help with is a string/combo/throw that can lead into this, any suggestions?

Running into your opponents can be a bit risky if you are going for a shine. Try doing shorthop>nair>shine>up-smash

There are actually quite a lot of follow-ups you can do with shine. Shine>utilt, Shine>up-smash, Shine>jump-cancel>bair/nair/dair or Shine>grab.

I know, I almost always get punished for sliding shine lmao. I've found that most people, after you fthrow them, will roll away from you when you dash at them. This can lead into a slide shine > up smash, but it's never for sure.

Thanks for the mix-ups, I already do shine > bair after down throw, but I don't trust myself to always get nair > shine > shorthop arial. Shorthoping with fox is so strenuous to get every time!

As a side note, do you know any other good ways to utilize shine when recovering from the ledge? I know how to do b-reverse shine to bair but that is also very hard to do every time. What other ways can I use shine when recovering from the ledge that won't make me side-b off the stage?

A popular way to use shine is to stall your recovery by lowering your fall speed. Then, you have a couple of options. You can wait until you drop down low enough to jump just level with the edge and side-spec/up-spec to the edge, you can aim a little higher than the edge with your jump (and then side-spec or something when you come in line with the edge), or if you are very close to the edge you can shine stall and then use your second jump to grab the ledge (quickly pressing up-spec on your way up to use the initial ledge-grab frames can be very helpful to get those quick ledge grabs).

Fox's right-special (b-over) move is glitched on Hueco Mundo. at about the middle of the flat part of the map, his blink catches a hitbox and causes him to go nowhere yet still use up the time required to blink.

Sounds like you're canceling SideB by pressing B again.

Fox has such a fast falling speed. Like I hit him with an Up Smash and he's automatically laying on the floor. Maybe his falling speed will be reduced in the Beta release?

I seriously doubt it. "Fastest falling speed out of any character" has always been a defining trait of Fox's.

More generally, I'm pretty sure that in SSF2 unlike other Smash games you can't tech before a hit, but the timing is really lenient beyond that. So just make sure you hit shield after Fox throws you and you should be fine.
