I was going to object to the name, but I couldn't think of a better one. Also, inb4 Pokemon Z.

Well, X and Y sound better then more colors.
Sounds cool to me actually.
Too bad there are no Dragon-esque starters, but I do like the new Water one.

I feel like the idea of the letters (X,Y,Z) combined with the fact that the game will be in 3D makes it obvious to point out yet sounds pretty cool but does feel like it's picky at times. It's a nice little reference to the 3rd dimension.

Overall though, 3D is a nice addition to the franchise and it took the game to the 3rd dimension really good unlike most games. Still, what bugs me about Pokemon X and Y is just one thing: Chespin



Out of all the 3 starters, Chespin looks like they did a quick paint-job/edit on an old pokemon. I don't know which pokemon (I thought dewott at first) or why but it does feel like so.

At first I wasn't sure about this, since I was hoping for the next versions to have color names or at least some more precious gems, and plus IMO the starters look a little...idk (except for Fennekin). But the graphics look incredible, and I was waiting for GF to finally put it on the 3DS. GF will once again astound us all, for sure. Gonna buy it as soon as it comes out in October. Too bad it's a long wait though. Maybe those Hoenn remakes will come before then to ease the pain
Also, note how those legendaries in the trailer somewhat resemble the letters X and Y: The blue deer-like one looks like the blue X in the logo, and the red bird-like one looks like the red Y in the logo.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, the names are actually a really good idea, since it's a reference to the 3rd dimension. Definitely looking forward to this.

Sweet, the starters look like they could set the long requested dark psychic fighting trio as the secondary types. That'd be cool.

I don't think that its a quick-paint job, I think its more of a mish-mash of other small mammal pokemon.
Oshawott's eyes and arms, Bidoof's mouth, I dunno who's feet those are, but they really look familiar. You get the idea.

Personally, though, I don't really mind, he looks somewhat energetic and slightly insane (Like old childhood friend at the playground who keeps doing stupid things that could potentially end him in hospital.) so in the end he comes off with his own personality and I'd be quite happy to have one as a starter. The one that troubles me would be Fenneken because cute fire dog pokemon has been done to death, But while I only see that, you may very well see more to it just as I do with Chespin, and as long as we all have at least one we like, what does it matter?

Anywho, I'm quite excited about the rest of the game!

Technically, it's a fox. Which is also close to done to death, but whatever, tomato tomahto.

I'm just surprised that it's coming out so soon after Black and White 2.

Those legends look amazing, and i think i am not the only one who likes the dragon legend more then that deer... right

fire
phycic

water
fighting

grass
dark
It would be best... just not another fire/fighting pokemon please.
