Looking for a gaming PC/Laptop

First.. Which one is better for gaming? A laptop or a desktop? I would also like to know which brands to get and which ones to not get.

You want a desktop.

You also don't want "brands". You want to be building one yourself. Go lookup some guides on how to do that.

I know absolutely nothing about hardware techy s***. So buying one would be the best option for me.

When you build it yourself, all you're doing is assembling the components, and there are plenty of easy-to-follow guides online. If you can click legos together, you can put a computer together.
