I was heard something similar from my professor when she saw one of the kids injured from a car accident. Turns out, he was trying to avoid a dog crossing the road. She remarked quite sarcastically that he (the student) valued a dog's life more than he. It took a while for the implication to set in but I laughed anyway.
In any case, I'd chose myself first, then fellow humans (women and children first of course) before another species. _________________  |
