People just don't want to get shrekt at the biggest SSF2 tourney after two matches.
So I thought about a first group stage with 4 Round Robin pools (of at least 8 players if we get more than 32 players). Best 4 of each pools moves to a DE bracket. (or best 6 and 5th-6th of each pools gets automatically sent into losers bracket). Kinda how I'm Not Yelling was run.
Two problems tho :
1 - I don't think challonge could do it on his own.
2 - Is it possible to do it in one day?

EDIT :

Anyone who signs up, yet fails to show up to their match within 20 minutes of the tournament's beginning will be dropped to losers (yes, this includes you, Lunary)

AWWWWWWW~

Challonge does indeed support 2-stage tournaments now. I may do the round robin thing, unless I think there are too many people, in which case I'll do bracket pools.

If I do either of those things, I may hold an amateur bracket for those who don't make it to phase 2.

This is going to be a interesting tournament 232 people are going to to show up, but to be more specific 80% would not be there and 20% will, and if everyone shows up this going to take 2 days to finish which is going to be crazy. Dark Ermac i have hope in you

Why'd you decide to send out invitations to this tournament through challonge anyway?
Just wondering because it's kind of weird how even if a player didn't accept the invite, he/she still got placed in the bracket.

tac3 if they don't check in they automatically get removed from the bracket
so the current bracket is just a preview

There are several players in my tournaments who are not McleodGaming users. The invites are pretty much for them, but I decided to do everyone because screw it.

Also, inviting everyone meant I got to do all the player seeding right away.

How many matches go on at once? I seen I'm around AD bracket, whether that matters and may be likely to change. I would be leaving 4 hours after the tournament begins and was wondering If I should unregister if the times would take a lot longer than that.

That'd be cool to watch.

Trust me, I doubt you need to worry about the time. Each round will last about half an hour, at most.
