From the article it seems this mosque really was built illegally and that it was not just a spin. It is pretty stupid to trample on sensitivities like this, but maybe it was ordered to demolish the mosque for that very reason?

Sounds like the Israelis have firm legal ground to base the action, only if with a little bit of excessive force.

Then again, who knows just how long they had them waiting for that permit. Wouldn't put it beyond some of them to simply let the permit request go unhandled on purpose.

... I hope you know enough of the Islam to understand that they don't worship the mosques, right? Kinda like how Christians don't worship churches?

That's like saying that the demolition means that students have one less school to learn. You know that right?

Exactly the same as what I thought. Maybe they did it as some form of retaliation, but this conflict is full of retaliations for retaliations for retaliations for retaliations for retaliations for retaliations for retaliations for retaliations for retaliations for retaliations...

I do recall some incidents of Palestinians razing synagogues in decolonised/deoccupied settlements.

Yes, I know what you meant, Hakker, it's just that now they have one less mosque to go to (which in reality, it didn't affect hardly).

And I thank you for stating the bleeding obvious.

Because some of us were thinking that a new Mosque would sprout of the ground like a tree as soon as one went down.

What the heck was the friggen point of saying it anyway, you idiot?

My God, it was just a comment...

But alas, I cannot win.
