Is it me, or is his Fsmash really hard to do? I just keep doing Ftilts constantly whenever I try it.

Use a controller and do smashes with the c-stick

C-stick forward + attack
Also you don't need a controller to use c-stick.

My thoughts on Sonic in Beta so far?
I've been playing with him for the last 2 weeks online and he's pretty fun to play as and to just troll people.
I'm content with his move-set and I love to make thing unf-air for my opponents with either a spike set-up or a sweet edgeguard. And yes, while the Down- B does requires more button input, I've still been able to develop potential mindgames and it's good for combo potential and some cool set-ups. The homing attack has more range and from what I've seen so far, pretty good for both surprise attacks and recovery game. My thoughts on the dash attack? It's so damn good for punishing mains who miss their tech. Trust me.....It's so damn good. The Spring? The gimps I have gotten with that god damn thing is satisfying as hell. The grab range could be a little increased but I feel like I'm not the only one thinking this.

Sonic has tech that can instantly snap him to platforms using D-Air.
The first few frames have autocanceling properties so you can just hover slightly below / aligned with a platform and then Dair and you will land on the platform with no lag. This makes getting into platforms out of a full hop noticeably quicker.
He could technically not do this in 0.9b because the autocancel properties were not there, but could execute it anyway because that move had zero lag back then.

Application is similar in purpose to the waveland: it creates movement mixups by being able to change what your movement options are much earlier than you should. It's also a good method to get up into platforms if you want to do a grounded move quickly on them.
I may be exaggerating on how useful it is, but I'm pretty certain it can be put to good use.

I have not tested whether it works off of the ledge towards the ground / main platform, but if it does, Sonic may also be able to hop onto stage very very quickly (albeit with 0 invincibility which would make this theoretical option quite unsafe). It's unlikely that it would work that way, though.

That sounds really interesting. I should try that in online matches more.

Looks easy to DI out of to me? I'm doing close to a full hop in order to even connect the move though...

The most OP move in his moveset. ....Low2Key, his f-air. Why? Cause it can combo into itself.

His aerials are pretty good for combo game, yeah. With some (kinda) strict timing you can get some goofy looking links in-
This is the first time I really touched him (and Flash 2 to begin with), I feel combo wise overall he's strong.

It's fun to mess with, I've been finding some dumb Dthrow routes with it. They look pretty cool! Only thing I wish had done was a 3rd Uair since I had jumps left :/ D-tilt into dash grab feels suspect but I think it works with Dthrow starter and a tad higher %.

Sonic is one of those characters that everyone makes look easy to use, but is really hard to figure out. I don't put him with the KYS list because he's not an easy switch for bad players, but it's not easy to learn him.
