Something within Algebra 1.. Though I can use a challenge! :sweat:

Well, as embarrasing as it may sound, I couldn't solve it (well the normal way atleast), that usually happens when you throw something out there. So I'll tell you guys the variables.
x = 8
y = 6
z = 10

New Question:
y(x+9) = 59
y = (x - 57) + 2^3

Solve for x.

Yeah still made kinda quickly but I definatly took the time to make sure it's a whole lot less difficult than the other.

Ok, that was easy.

x = -10
y = -59

or

x = 50
y = 1

When you say too hard, do you mean impossible?

With what you gave us, there are 3 possible answers, almost impossible to work out because you don't get a 3d calculator or graph paper (and trial and error is for dummies)

Yeah, it was meant to be easy, now go and post the next question.

Um... alright, I guess try this out.

x(x+5) = 2y - 6
y = 6x - 32

Solve for x and y.

Er.. All I got right now:

x(x+5) = 2y - 6
y = 6x – 32

2x + 5x = 2y –6

3x = 2y – 6

3x- 2y = -6

-2y = -3x – 6

y = 3/2x + 3

y = 6x - 32

So far then:

EQUATION 1

x = 3/2

y = 3

y = 3

That's a plus, not a minus.

Well, i did not show the ACTUAL work.. I basically combined 2x and 5x and since it'd minus.. it'd be 3x. I subtracted 2y to make it 3x-2y = -6. Then I basically divided by -2.

You dummy, it starts of with x^2 + 5x = 2y - 6
