If you didn't see the series, it's mostly about Hiccup going through the adventures and conflicts of uniting the people of Berk and dragons to live in peace. It's in its second season right now (But I haven't seen any of the new season and it's already half way through; so I've missed quite a bit myself). A few new characters and dragon species are introduced. There's a villain introduced as well; he wants to tame dragons and use them as vicious weapons.

The second movie is coming June 2014 and is set to take place 5 years after the current plot. So Hiccup should be about 16-17.

The Kung-Fu Panda show is pretty much all filler and is very loosely connected to the movies. Don't worry about missing anything important. Still an pretty good, but it is nowhere near as awesome as the movies.

And aww snap, this looks interesting and epic. I look forward to this.

And poorer animation. You can tell they put more effort into the Dragons TV series' CGI.

I'm seeing Anchorman 2 tomorrow and meeting Adam Mckay, so that should be fun.

I will most likely be seeing The Hobbit tomorrow. As for other movies this month, maybe 47 Ronin.

I don't even want to know what that is.

(Oooh, and now I get what your sig is.)

I saw 47 Ronin today; it was averagely good. Slow moving in the beginning, but got a bit better as it picked up. Not as much fight-scenes as I was expected, but the action sequences that the movie did have were pretty cool. And Keanu Reeves' character really isn't the protagonist, but he still plays a major role in the outcome.

This movie also had a lot of sad moments, but the ending was just depressingly sad.

I saw Frozen a while back. It was great, I'd recommend it to anyone.

I'm pretty hyped for all the Marvel movies coming out. Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy come out 2014. In 2015 Avengers:Age of Ultron and Ant Man. Doctor Strange in 2016? It's also confirmed they're trying to make a Black Panther movie. It's just the how/when.

The movie "Riley Rewind" was just released for free online. I suggest a viewing; It's a pretty good film, especially since it doesn't cost a dime.

Oh gosh. That movie. I don't know what's gonna happen with that movie. I'm excited. I just want to know more about what's going to be in the movie.

Also, I went browsing at trailers for movies. Some interesting stuff coming:

SABOTAGE: (Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terrence Howard)
YouTube Video:

I know it's an action movie concept that's been done quite a bit, but I like the look of this movie. Besides, it's Arnold making it a must see.

Transcendence: (Johnny Depp)
YouTube Video:

I'm very interested to see how this will be.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2
YouTube Video:

Nothing, but hype.

How To Train Your Dragon 2 (Official trailer)
YouTube Video:

Un-freaking-believable. I can't believe they put such a big spoiler in the trailer. They should have saved that.

22 Jump Street
YouTube Video:

Oh man. I'm laughing so hard. Not because it's funny, I just can't believe they gave this foolishness a sequel.

To be completely honest I found 47 to be very bland and uninteresting, I would not recommand it to anyone.

Whilst Keanu Reeves' character is indeed the poster boy and supposed to be the protagonist, he is, as you said it, far from that. I found his character to be very one dimmensional and without any developement. The acting was great, but it just didn't have any body.

The movie does a pretty poor job at mingling in Japanese folklore with the actual historical event of the 47 ronin, because during multiple points a lot of s*** isn't properly explained, and seems to be thrown in just for the hell of it (I did not understand why the f*** a kitsune woman who can kill people with the blink of an eye would loyally follow a human who hasn't proven to be anything but avarage, it did not make sense to me, really. she lacks any form of motivation, and seems more like an excuse rather then an actual character). All of this takes away from what should have been the movie's focus, and makes it seem like the movie is trying to cash in on some tropes.

I felt like the ending failed to really show the impact of the event, instead it just cuts off to on screne text, explaining us that annually thousands of people still visit their graves. Yeah, ok, cool. There was quite some room here for some characters to develop there, but it seems like the directors just ran out of time or so.

The fights, and in particular the actual ronin siege (the point of the movie) were good and pleasent to watch, but there was just so much unneccesary s*** going on that a lot of it detracted from that. The character of Reeves, Kai, felt unneccesary. It's not completely unheard of that a movie throws in some supernatural s*** or a mmmmmurican outsider for the audience to connect to (The Last Samurai, for example), but here, I feel like it took away from the main focus, and made the movie very formula.

I don't get why the Tengu looked like a lizard version of Voldermort.
