i started doing mockup drawings of gameplay in october of last year, and then actual coding began in november, using squares and rectangles for graphics. spriting started in january when i got back from APEX 2013.

Well they aren't a real life creature haha. They're called Blights, and they dont really fit into any real life category of animal. Think of them as very large insects, but with fur.
