Wow people are salty over the word salty.
Anyway, Cloud plays surprisingly well. I didn't really expect him to turn out so well. I love how a lot of his animations reference the cheap and cheesy animation of FFVII, such as his dashing animation.
Midgar is just awesome, and I don't think I really need explain why. The only bad thing is that we only got two songs for it when there is such a large list of great songs to choose from in Final Fantasy VII (J-E-N-O-V-A, anybody?).
As for Corrin(I think that's his name), I'm not really happy about that. Probably won't buy it unless he plays really well. I'll try him when he comes out by playing with one of my Smash Bros obsessed friends.
Bayonetta looks really fun to play...but I can't believe that she was chosen as the last character. I guess her popularity in the poll speaks volumes, and Nintendo listened. I would have much preferred a more light-hearted character to her, but that's just me. Plenty of people are thrilled about Bayonetta and that's great.

Cloud's fun to play, but some of his sword hitboxes feel a little off. And it's kinda surprising that his dair doesn't spike, considering it looks like one of the many other ones that do.
I'm kinda mixed regarding his Limit bar; I wanna save it for when I can smack out an enemy with high damage, and as a result I just go way too long without ever using my special attacks. Maybe I just need to learn to be more liberal with it.

When I was playing online, somebody hit me with it, and I was launched straight down. But I think only the very start of the move does it. I was able to do it in training too, as long as I hit with the downward thrust.

I actually end up using his Limit break-limit break Upb more than any other moves or sometimes bait to Dspec.
I love Dair so much it last forever you can just cover anything with it
