_________________________________________________________
Hello to all you foxy people out there, and thanks for giving this RP a look. Kerim and I will be Co-DMing. The adventure is basically split into two parts, Land, and Sea. The Land sections (And where important stuff happens) are focused around small objectives that all lead up to one large overall objective for that island or area that advances the plot. The sea sections are when the party is traveling in between land sections and allows characters to recuperate, chat, and repair. Once in awhile, the party will be attacked at sea by monsters or even another vessel, resulting in Sea Battles. During Sea Battles, not only can you normally attack, you can also utilize the ship itself in fighting.
In this world, words such as F*** and S*** don’t exist, and your character will look out of place if they do utter those words.

The Setting

_________________________________________________________
“Long ago, the world was much larger then it is today. From rolling plains, to deep canyons, the land was dominant of the sea. Man ruled the earth, and created many kingdoms. As they prospered, they set up borders and boundaries to define what belonged to whom, and who belonged to what. As time went on, man grew tired of what they already had, and became envious of each other. They began to quarrel over topics such as land, wealth, and power. Soon wars broke out and man fought each other. The gods saw this and became sad. This was not how they intended things to go. They tried to warn man, but their warnings fell upon deaf ears as the fighting continued. The gods then decided that it was best if they start over again, and so it began to rain. The rain swelled the oceans to enormous sizes, and the land began to disappear.
Man dropped its weapons and stared up into the heavens to see the gods crying an endless rain. They asked the gods why they weep, and the gods told them of all their wrongdoings. Man tried to apologize and even built shrines to honor the gods, but it was too late. The oceans swallowed up the cities and kingdoms man had fought so ferociously over, putting thousands to their watery graves. The once proud continents were reduced to humble clusters of islands. Few man survived, and the ones who did began to rebuild. Man soon forgot about the gods and built new cities upon the ruins of old ones and started anew. They say there are still remnants of the god’s sadness, lost in the ruins of the Old World. But one thing is for certain, man cannot make the same mistake twice."
–A reading from Xavier Peril’s controversial book “The Old World

Celo is a world where the sea dominates the land. The land is nothing more then islands scattered across the planet. The landmasses themselves range from lush tropical rainforests to barren desolate tundra, no two Isles ever the same. The people of this world, like the islands, are diverse, each with their own agenda. Though there are many dangers on land, the real threat isn’t an army or any dragon. It is the Scarlet Dread,
The feared fleet of pirates. Their numbers large enough to make their own country. Their firepower so devastating, it could level a city in a matter of hours. Many attempts have been made to end the Scarlet Dread’s rule over the ocean, all of which failed. Though pirates may rule the seas, various kingdoms and rulers dominate the land. The world may be large and limitless, but for now, our adventure begins on the tiny island of Dasmal where a Captain awaits his crew…

Main Characters
_________________________________________________________
These are Characters that the story focuses on. Main Characters are mostly controlled by various participants in the RP who all work together to create a story.

User Name: Zesper
Character Name: Captain Avigo (You may call him “Captain”.)
Age: 24
Appearance: The Captain is a tall man at 6.2 feet. His hair is a brownish-blond, comes down to about his jaw, and has a tenancy to spike out forward in front of is face. Atop his head is a large brimmed dark red fedora with several large white griffin feathers sticking out one side. The hat itself is usually c*** to one side. His eyes are sea green and cat-like, giving him the look like he’s always watching you. He also has black outlining his eyes as if he was wearing eyeliner. Despite being a captain, his face bears no flaws, scars, or burns on his face, only some stubble around his chin. Avigo usually has a lazy or bored expression plastered on his facial features. For his torso, he wears a simple, white button-up dress shirt (the collar acts as a turtleneck) and around his neck he wears a lacy silk jabot cravat. For his hands, he wears brown leather gloves that come up to his elbows. Around his stomach, he wears six large belts that all overlap each other. From one of these belts, a gun holster and a sheath are attached to his left side. For leg protection, he wears black leather pants that become baggy around where it meets his boots. The boots themselves are made of a dark brown leather and come up to his knees. Each boot has a large brass buckle. Over all this he wears a dark red Coachman coat (unbuttoned) that comes down to his ankles with large cuffs and the collar sticking up. With him Avigo carries a large leather messenger bag that contains various objects. Its strap goes from his left shoulder to the right of his hip where the bag itself is located. This is the Scarlet Dread captain’s outfit with a few modifications.
Personality: Avigo is what you would call a gentleman. He tends to be very relaxed and carefree, not one to waver in the presence of authority. He is well mannered and hates when others use incorrect grammar. The Captain can come across as a witty trickster, lazy, and self-centered at times, but is dead serious when he knows he can’t get himself out of a sticky situation. He is a tad sexist. He is also is a user of sarcasm, and loves to make a joke or two at times. Though when he is alone, he will have an almost child-like fascination with anything that grabs his attention.
Biography: Not much is known about the Captain other then the fact that he claims to be a well respected seafarer and a ship captain for the notorious Scarlet Dread. His story is that he was aboard his vessel when his fist mate stabbed him in the back and took over the ship, converting the crew against him and threw the Captain overboard. He managed to survive and washed upon the sandy shores of Dasmal Island and was revived. Soon after, he started to spread the word of himself around port town in hopes to attract the attention of able-bodied people in search of adventure to join his crew so that he may extract revenge on the Scarlet Dread. He is currently awaiting any response inside the backroom at the local Tavern.
Misc.: The captain has an odd, upper class accent in which he cleaves the “H” off the start of words. (Think British.) An example would be: “What a fine day to ‘ave a picnic!” He is also a lover of alcohol and fine wines, sometimes even getting drunk on the job. He also walks in large strides. In one of the many compartments in his bag, is a dirty, brass pocket-watch. It also doubles as a compass and even a stopwatch, making it very hard to comprehend. He also carries around a small, brass collapsible telescope.
Current Item(s)/Weapon(s): An elegant long-sword, an elegant long barreled revolver, a pocket watch, and a telescope.
Skills: Captain has an incredible persuasion talent. He is a first-class barterer, and is able to convince almost anyone of anything. He could persuade the shirt off your back.
Class: Pirate
Job: Captain
Current Location: Ponchelli Inn: Backroom
Well-Being: Healthy

User Name: Kiki
Character Name: Aneira Lumikki (An – eye – rah Loo – me – key)
Appearance: She stands at roughly 5.3, with a slim built body, though her legs are stronger looking, and her skin tone is fair though slightly tanned. Her hair is a rich brown, thick, straight, and grows down to the middle of her back. Her eyes are a cool icy blue, with a weird thin ring of silver around her iris; her gaze usually has the ability to make someone feel self conscious. She has an exotic arctic style beauty which kind of sticks out in many of the tropical ports where they’re used to more heavily tanned people. Her face is usually void of expression, and tends to look serious. She wears a short sleeved, low cut white shirt, with brown string criss-crossed on the part below her chest. On her chest is a silver necklace with a gem that appears to be a diamond but is in fact a permanently frozen ice crystal. She sports a red sash from which hangs three small pouches hanging on her rights side, and a sheathed dagger on the left side of her hip. On her legs she has white short shorts underneath a semi translucent cool blue skirt that slants upwards revealing part of her left leg. On her feet is a pair of rare white furred water proof boots retrieved from one of the islands in the north.
Age: 22
Personality: Aneira is very calm person. She stays to herself most of them time and is not one to work with others though will do so when the task requires it. She is generally independent since she had to raise herself to adulthood; she dislikes being shielded from things by others. She uses her ice magic for her everyday living whether creating a stool to sit on or creating her staff. She is impatient with idiots and fools. Aneira despises most pirates especially ones that kidnap or keep slaves of innocents, she could care less for criminals, though she will work for a crew of pirates. She also tends to think of most men as lustful pigs. She believes strongly in preserving family ties of others because of the loss of her own. She has a secret of passion and does so quite frequently when alone or when high up on the rigging. She is a very empathetic person and will on very rare occasions (once in a blue moon) console others.
Biography: Aneira was born very far up in the north born on the small island nation Nevar (Nay-var), which is formed of many islands but was basically one great island because the water between the islands had frozen solid. Aneira along with all the other children at the age of three began their training as Ice Magi. Their peaceful lifestyle was soon brought to an end when pirates came and attacked the island. All of the adults were mercilessly slaughtered and island was looted of its treasures, all the children, including Aneira who was ten at the time, were taken by the pirates. Many of them died onboard because of the terrible conditions and those who survived were sold off to other ships never to be seen again. Aneira was never sold for she had been taken in by the young cook Darien. The cook, not much older than her, raised her like his own sister, allowed her to develop her powers as an Ice Magi in secret, and taught her a few things about poisons and herbs, her life was easy and the pirates had learn to accept her, some of them teaching her sea shanties. That was until she became a teenager, the cook began to show signs of interest in her, but she had never thought of Darien as anything but her brother and friend. One night while she was in the kitchen alone he approached her, which led to a great struggle between the two of them. She fled onto the deck of the ship, cursing him cursing men and cursing pirates in general. Using all of her might, and an artefact from her home, she summoned a roaring blizzard in the middle of the tropical sea. The cook still attempted to go after her but she jumped into the sea, attempting to commit suicide, having no one in the world to call family. Ice in the sea dug deep into the wood hull of the boat, creating a huge gash and it began to sink rapidly. The last thing she saw was the cook, Darien, standing at the mast looking out towards her, she vowed never to use her magic again, feeling pity for those she had murdered within the ship, and fell unconscious on an ice flow she had crawled onto. She didn’t wake up until she was on the shores of Damsal Island taken in by an innkeeper. She fled from the innkeeper in a month after she recovered, feeling that she could no longer trust men. She lived on the streets on Damsal for one year living off of the money she managed to earn through her excellent cooking skills. As she grew older she began to use magic again and realized that her magic would always be with her, and that she could use it to protect herself from any man. When she was seventeen and a half years old she decided to return to the sea and joined a crew where she served as a cook. At the age of nineteen, word had spread of her cooking and medicinal skills, she allowed herself to be employed by anyone, including pirates. She currently lives on Damsal and has purchased a home for herself, though tends to wander the streets where she had once lived.
Misc.: She will eat anything, no matter how disgusting it is to everyone else, a skill she acquired as a child after being fed all the terrible food by the pirates. Aneira knows how to play the accordion. She owns crystal earrings given to her by Darien when she was young, it turns out that these crystals were looted from her island and grant her the power to conjure blizzards though the power is drained to null no matter the magnitude of the blizzard and takes about two months to recharge.
Current Item(s)/Weapon(s): Dagger, crystal earrings (currently drained), pouch full of spices, pouch full of poisons, pestle and mortar.
Skills: Anyone who catches her gaze is temporarily paralyzed by the intensity of the glare, she isn’t always glaring and it’s usually when she widens her eyes that her gaze becomes enchanting. (Some however can grow immune to it if she uses the gaze on someone too many times…or if they’re blind…)

User Name: ConquestStreak
Character Name: Lenard Jeri
Appearance: Lenard has short, black hair, sticking out at the ears. His skin wears a deep brown tan. He also has dark black eyes, which many consider dark brown instead. His typical clothes are usually a light brown leather vest that fits with his skin, and a gray linen long sleeved shirt. His pants, leather, long, and dark brown, with a bit of gray on the ends and several pockets. On his belt, a dark green snakeskin, lies a small emerald surrounded by a silver ring.
Age: 22
Personality: Quiet, yet understanding. Lenard is one of those people who sits in the corner of a room, and fully understands a situation. Picks bad moments to joke around, and tends to get serious at the wrong times, although for good reason. Every excuse given to him needs a reason to be an excuse. Yet, he happens to share his past experiences spontaneously and frequently.
Biography: Lenard never got into a fight. He's always been accepting, all throughout his life. When his cat died, he was fine with it. When his dog died, he nodded that off as well. It was until his parents died, when he was seventeen, that he then snapped into focus on his life. Training in the art of swordfighting, he wasn't too good at that. Immediately, he moved on to archery, and found that it was too slow, trying to aim a bow. He then found the rest of his money, given by his parents, to be draining rapidly. He then took refuge with the thieves of the town, and decided that this life was his life. Experiencing the thrill of rushing in, and using small blades that he could easily wield became the best fighting experience he ever received. However, the town was too small for proper stealing. Knowing this, Lenard took his remaining cash and the money he stole, and made for a bigger place. He is now currently looking for a ship, to find a larger city, to fulfill his rush of stealing.
Misc.: He loves pasta.
Current Item(s)/Weapon(s): Two jagged daggers, a lens, a long rope, and a hook.
Skills: He can lock pick, steal, and has a sharp hearing skill.
Class: Thief
Job: Tailor (He's fast, and nimble with his fingers.)
Current location: Ponchelli Inn: Storage Room
Well-Being: Moderately Healthy.

User Name: Magician of Rune
Character Name: Ari
Appearance:Standing about 6 feet or so, his facial features, minus his grey eyes and pale complexion, is hidden away with a helmet that covers his entire head. His upper wear is a featureless grey shirt, and his lower wear is brown leather pants along with similarly brown leather boots. His hands have a strange mark on it, a set of runes that seems to not make any sense, though they are covered in black gloves. On his arms are apparently grey detached sleeves, going until his hands/gloves and up to nearly his shoulders, and binded at the top end (the part near his shoulders). Over nearly of that, he wear a almost out-of-character black cloak, with a barely visible cross inside a circle on its back.
Age: 23
Personality: A bit eccentric to say the least. He shows a naive personality, not minding anything that would oppose/strike fear/eat him, and treating nearly everyone, even kings and queens, as a casual friend. This may prove himself as a nuisance to some, and a bit helpful to others. He at least, has a strong sense of loyalty, and wouldn't abandon any ally, or even enemy if they amused him. He also has a odd fascination with ruins, stemming from his odd helmet.
Biography: Not much is known about Ari, as he apparently lost his memory falling down and landing hard (the wagon wheel hitting Ari's head help) in front of a farmer. The farmer, being nice and all, helped him recover, letting Ari help him, and sending him off to deliver the produce to nearby villages/towns. He quickly noticed a few things. One, Ari was strange, standing still for literally hours before moving, walking on his hands, and sometimes asking others about a war between two nations that don't even exist, two, he seemed to have a immense amount of stamina and endurance, running around exhausted him, though he quickly regained strength resting, and once got ran over by a incoming horse, and only got a limp for a few days. Lastly, he had psychic abilities. He could levitate on his wagon wheel when he was tired, and at times the farmer felt that he was hot, despite the area around being very cool. Ari eventually asked the farmer if he could travel around, to see if anyone had information regarding anything that might be related to him. He went with his staff and wagon wheel before the farmer even gave him items for traveling.
Misc.: The helmet itself is not really descriptive. It's pretty much a metal sphere with a silt for eyesight. Strangely, it's indestructible and doesn't hinder Ari in the slightest. He also uses a wagon wheel for various purposes:a table, or a pad to float.
Current Item(s)/Weapon(s): A staff, a very hard wagon wheel that seems to not effect his mental ability in the slightest.
Skills: He has exceptional stamina and durability, it seems he could run around for days, and could continue to fight regardless of wounds.
Class: Telepath
Job: Demolitions Expert
Current location: Ponchelli Inn: Storage Room
Well-Being: Healthy

User Name: TheDukeofLuke
Character Name: Johnny Johnson

He has a black cotton jacket with several with several brass button. Underneath it he has a frilly long sleeved shirt that is not seeable with his jacket on. He has a leather belt with a silver belt buckle(his most prized possession.) He wears pants made of several clothes made from many different things including a sail, which he sowed together. He takes them everywhere, seeing what kinds of cloth he can add.
Personality: He has quick wits, and a taste for the arts. He is quiet, but has a good sense of humor. Unfortunately, he has bladder problems. He finds s**** in training with his blade and playing cards. Quick with his hands, he remains undefeated in the card game, Erf. Enjoys the outdoors and a bit of sailing here and there. He is often lazy unless the goal is for personal benefit.
Biography: Johnny was born in Tallabera. Born to a poor family, he played with mud as his only toy. By the time he was 9, he was accepted into the neighborhood school, where he began his education. This was where he found his love for the blade, and for the harmonica. He trained and invented techniques and played harmonica, while other kids learned to ride horses. At age 13, his father was brutally murdered, for he had found information that could incriminate the king of the land. The murderer had also killed his mother along with his father, shortly after going for him, though his quick thinking allowed him to grab his blade to protect himself, though he was unable to stop the assailant from grazing his sternum. To this day, he has not learned who the assailant was, just the scar that he received from him.
Misc.: Speaks solemnly and gruffly, especially when talking about his past. Johnny also has to frequently "go number two" due to a bowl infection that comes from a strange micro bacteria found on his homeland. Many people on the island have this infection, including Johnny’s late parents.
Current item/weapon: A one handed sword he dubs "Vengeance". He also carries his cherished belt, a silver harmonica, and a deck of cards that he stole from the market.
Skills: No special skills. (Freelancer.)
Class: Freelancer

User Name: Thaiberium
Character Name: Jong Pom-chu (it's a Korean name har har)
Appearance: Standing at a resolute 1 metre 79 centimetres, Jong is a slightly muscular man with a tanned complexion. He wears a green shirt with black pants underneath a flowing long brown mantle though most of his attire has long been stained with blood and has gone unwashed for a quite a while now. On his head rests a satgat, or a conical straw hat. Beneath that is a crew cut and a clean shaven face. His eyes match his hair in colour, that is, both are black in colour. As for footwear, Jong has a pair of nicely thick and resilient leather boots that has seen more than its fair share of mud slogging.
Age: 35
Personality: Jong had been in the military and much of the disciplinary mindset has been ingrained in to his character. Though he is smart enough to not call anyone out on being so ill-disciplined, Jong will usually hold the person in contempt. This extends to anyone who carries a weapon on them. Non-combatants are a different story as depending on how he judges what someone's disposition to be like. Should someone seem skittish, he will be soft and pliant with words and on the contrary should someone seem confident, he will bring harsh reality crashing down on them with perhaps a veiled threat or stern words. Having never had any close relations that ended well, Jong remains a mercenary, nodding off death as something that just happens. All in all, a straightforward man without the need to beat around the bush.
Biography: Much of his childhood was uneventful. Jong joined the army in the hopes of a better life. Having been a captain of a unit of Reiters, mounted musketeers armed with a musketoon, he soon started on the path of a rising star. However Fate dealt a cruel blow to him when a crushing defeat swept by, killing almost everyone. Presumed killed in action, Jong struck out as a mercenary, offering his services far and wide. With his last contract ending in Damsal, Jong rides in to town looking for work.
Misc.: Jong is a sad drunk, that is, getting drunk makes him speak of his sorrows.
Current Item(s)/Weapon(s): A flintlock mustketoon, a bayonet, and a horse named Binky.
Skills: A former Reiter of the Army, able to load, shoot and reload in the saddle as well as being able to command of a platoon sized element of troops.
Class: Rider
Job: Gunsmith
Current location:Ponchelli Inn: Storage Room
Well-Being: Healthy.

User Name:
Nate.
Character Name: Raleigh Wile
Appearance: Raleigh has long brown hair, pulled back into a pony tail. One of his eyes is a luminescent green, the other a pale blue. He has thick brows, and he wears a brown hooded cloak. Under that, a simple off-white tunic tied at the waist with a black studded belt. He wears cuffs on his forearms that match the belt. And, of course, it just wouldn’t be a decent character without pants. So, Raleigh wears a pair of black breeches, tucked into brown hunting boots that come up to his calf. As for accessories, Raleigh wears his rapier in a scabbard on his right hip. Tucked into the belt on his left hip is his hunting knife. On his back he carries his quiver and, of course, supply of arrows. Raleigh’s red pack is tied to his left thigh.
Age: 29
Personality: Raleigh is generally aloof, and not very sociable. He does, however, have an unwavering sense of loyalty and honor. He is not easily driven to anger, and promotes peace among those around him. He prefers not to talk about his past, but is easily swayed by the wants of others. He often yields to their wishes. All in all, he’s not an argumentative guy. (Although he’ll probably have some sort of falling out with Diacus) However, when he gets into a fight, he attacks mercilessly and without hesitation.
Biography: Raleigh was born in an isolated place, dominated by forest. Hunting was a skill required to survive, and as he grew, Raleigh found that he excelled at it. He was good with a knife, and even better with a bow. However, he found that he loved to fence more than anything else. This was an unusual pastime for a resident of this particular island. Swordplay was considered a useless ability there, as, due to the island’s seclusion, the feared Scarlet Dread were never expected to raid the land. Yet raid they did, and when the time came, Raleigh was forced to use his superior sword-fighting skills to fend off the invaders. Unfortunately, they were just too powerful. Raleigh could not beat them. He had failed. However, they did not kill him. The pirates saw some potential in the boy and, thinking that he may one day become a somewhat decent member of the group, offered to take him in. Needless to say, Raleigh refused. The Dread, however, would not take no for an answer. They threatened to kill his family if he didn’t cooperate, and so, hesitantly, he accepted their offer. The pirates then proceeded to kill Raleigh’s entire family before his very eyes. All but one, that is. Raleigh’s eldest sister managed to escape into the forest. The Dread gave chase, but Raleigh wasn’t allowed to stay and witness the outcome of the pursuit. He was dragged away back to the pirates’ ship, and was later told that they had found and captured his sister. They said they were keeping her below deck, and that if Raleigh tried to escape, she would be killed like the rest of his family. This kept him quiet for a number of years, during which he went through strenuous training in the ways of swashbuckling. Eventually, Raleigh convinced himself that the Scarlet Dread had, indeed, not captured his sister, or that if they had, they had already killed her. That night, he dove overboard and swam for the nearest island he could find. It was rough going, and Raleigh was forced to shed both his clothes, save his underwear, and all of his possessions. All but his rapier, which he would rather die than part with. Eventually, he dragged himself to shore, gasping and sputtering for air. There he collapsed on the ground, grateful for a chance to rest. The next morning, he found himself on a bed of leaves in the middle of a jungle. Weirder, he was wearing new clothes.. Not knowing where he was, he immediately began to panic. Then a woman stepped from the surrounding underbrush. She was wearing hunter’s apparel, but in a different style than he had ever seen before. Upon further investigation, he discovered that it was the same style he had on. Eventually, Raleigh became accustomed to this new place. He regained his ability to hunt, which had been unused for some years. Even so, he knew that he would never be able to live down the torment the Scarlet Dread had put him through, and that the only relief would be revenge. Raleigh became a nomad, hitching rides from island to island with no real goal in mind. But he knew he had to do something.
Misc.:Raleigh has lost sight in his left eye, a fact that he doesn’t want anybody to find out.
Current Item(s)/Weapon(s): Hunter’s knife. Pack with three weeks-worth of food. Rapier. Bow and arrows.
Skills: Superb swashbuckling skills. Basic thieving abilities. Excellent shot with a bow. In-depth knowledge of wild herbs and plants.
Class: Fencer.
Job: Hunter.
Well-Being: Healthy.

User Name: Forbzy
Character Name: Aiolos
Age: 21
Appearance: Aiolos has fair skin and short brown hair which looks dyed. His eyes are sunken and have lines under them, as if he doesn't sleep often, and are deep hazel in color. He has tight lips and cheeks, a notched nose and a cleft chin. He is of an average height and is skinny but clearly well fed. His arms are clearly powerful and his hands appear strong and nimble. Aiolos wears a well-fitting, well-kept brown cloak that resembles an unusually long trench coat. Underneath he wears a beige, formfitting shirt and brown pants that fit loosely. Under his coat he has two swords strapped to his waist. One is long and lightly decorated and the other is short and blunt.
Personality: Aiolos has little to no neuroticism. He rarely feels down, if ever, but isn't often high on life either. He seeks adventure, to a point, and has a passion for learning new, often useless or mindless skills. He enjoys money and romance, but isn't the type to go out of his way to achieve something he doesn't view as necessary.
Aiolos is fast with words and actions and is often thinking ahead of those around him, but under stress he will become painfully calculating and often paralyzed by his own thoughts. He is friendly and enjoys talking with those he is close to, though he will rarely befriend someone unless they befriend him first.
Biography: Aiolos was born on the island Denholm, meaning "valley island." The island was small, with two large mountains and a few cities in between them; thus earning its name. The people were highly business and money oriented, trading nonstop with other islands. Its population was quite wealthy and happy, and there weren't too many people.
Aiolos' parents were originally military folk; his father was a foot soldier and his mother had ridden a cocatrice on the island Fionnbharr. When his mother was pregnant they moved to Denholm, to escape the danger of being in an army. They raised their child well, spoiling him often. His mother forced him to learn an assortment of instruments which he mastered with ease, and his father taught him to use a sword, which he excelled at in little time.
Aiolos, however, was not cut out for life on Denholm. He sought new people and new excitement, being a somewhat bored person to begin with, and promptly left the island on a trading ship after his mother died of sickness. He was 18 then.
Three years later, Aiolos had traveled to many islands and seen many things, learned countless talents and had become well known in some of the places he visited. He earned his living by selling trinkets he made by hand, and had only competed in an arena once; he had never viewed money as worth his life and had let his opponent walk. Aiolos found himself on Dasmal after being hired by a military ship's captain for a free one way trip as well as minimal pay.
Misc.: Aiolos speaks intelligently, but sometimes far too quickly. He will sometimes find himself past what he was thinking and stutter to a halt, lost for words and thoughts.
Current Item(s)/Weapon(s): Long, thin sword, a shortsword, a miniature harp, a large flask often filled with whiskey, and a tiny bag on his belt that holds supplies for carving wood or chiseling stone.
Skills: Aiolos is talented with his fingers; in other words, he is skilled at such things as carving wood or stone at a small scale and playing an assortment of instruments.
Class: Fencer
Job: Musician
Current location: Ponchelli Inn: Dining Area
Well-Being: Healthy

User Name: Aeifyre
Character Name: Flynt (last name not specified)
Appearance: Flynt stands pretty tall, higher than some: 5'12. He has nose-length black hair, with brown streaks (though he has never quite found out how he’s gotten them). His eyes always appear grayish, as if he was blind, but the truth could never be further. He has a stunning 20/20 vision, better than most humans. Not too fat, not too thin, he weighs in at about 140 pounds. His skin is tanned slightly from the sun, so he is not pale.
Always wears a waist-length blue cloak (a makeshift hood is sown on) which is adorned with stars, and a pair of long pants which have many pockets on them, and a ragged belt made of cloth that is quite long, and could be used as rope (which is probably why he wears it). He wears knee-length black boots, and he wears black fingerless gloves.
Age: 19
Personality: Flynt been speaking less and less due to the pirate attacks. He is indifferent to the world and tends to be logical and calm at times, thinking things through before deciding on something. He is the one to add some much needed common sense.
He will obey others, and he takes orders well enough (Due his his "young" age). He gives everyone a second chance, and will listen to them, and even try to help them, regardless of where they stand. He analyzes people, situations, etc. and takes stock of them, trying to go for the best route. He can be funny occasionally, light-hearted and happy.
Biography:Once upon a time, Flynt was a happy child (teen, whatever). His parents were kind, he was bright, and he had a good life. He lived in a small village, on an island which was unnamed. It was a nice, quiet place. It was never very lively, but the people there knew each other well and could support each other.
But then, pirates attacked. Where from? He didn’t know.
After the attack was over, Flynt was apparently the only one there. Most of the village had refused to give up their belongings, and so they’d suffered for it. Some had been killed, and the others would not be found.
Only Flynt lived, as he’d been sleeping during the attack, and thus spared.
Sad from the loss of his family, he decided to help the capital of the island, which had itself suffered an attack as well. But they tried to recruit him in an army. He declined.
Flynt, at heart, was never a violent person. He disliked war, and he had always rallied for peace.
Yes, Flynt could not, would not fight.
Even though the men had killed his family, killed his village…
He could not retaliate.
Eventually, a family took him in for their own. They decided to make him one of them. They would not replace his true family, but helped him with his losses.
After his Eighteenth birthday, he left them, left the island he had known, via ship. He made a staff from the resources he had obtained from his families. (as he could never bring himself to use a sword)
He decided to seek better fortunes throughout the world, and to make sure that those who could not protect themselves did not suffer his fate.
Misc.: Flynt has always had a slightly heightened sense of hearing. He also has good speech, and a good vocabulary. He is quick to say sarcastic comments, and insults as well. But this gift of speech is not flawless; sometimes his voice “spaz”es out [meaning stutters, or a complete inability to talk for a little while] (especially with females).
And he has an uncanny ability to guess how long something will take to do something.
Current Item(s)/Weapon(s):
- Aeifyre: A basic staff that is exactly five feet long. Widest in the middle, it tapers down to a point at both ends, thus it can pierce. Made of metal, it is a sturdy weapon, balanced for offensive and defensive measures. A sun and moon are carved into the tip and bottom of the staff, respectively, and a grip is wedged on the middle, providing sturdiness.
- Sephyr: A pair of goggles that he always brings with him where ever he goes. Not very flashy looking, he is often seen wearing them.
Skills: He has a talent for breaking up fights. He’s skilled at starting up and stopping fires, which is valuable in certain situations, and has practiced archery every now and then.
Class: Thunder Magi
Job: Blacksmith
Current location: Unknown
Well-Being: Healthy

Supporting Characters

_________________________________________________________
Supporting characters (or NPCs) are groups or people who are controlled by Kerim or I. These are people who are vital to the story and may help or hinder you.

The Ponchelli Family: A friendly family of three that the group met at the start of the RP. Their son, Trevor, befriended Avigo after he discovered the captain washed ashore, unconscious. Mr. and Mrs. Ponchelli run a Inn/Tavern located in Dasmal Island's Port Town.

Privateers: Most navies use these platoons to answer the increasing threat of the Scarlet Dread. They mainly specialize in tracking, disabling enemy ships, and capture. Most privateer ships are equipped with heavy firepower, but surprisingly light armor.
Here is a list of Privateers the crew has encountered so far.

Lukeian (Luke-e-an)- Known for their gluttony, arrogance and gaudy uniforms, Lukeian privateers hail from the far away island kingdom (and military superpower) of Luke. Though most crews seem to lack the tracking skills privateers are known for, they make up for it in sheer firepower. They are also known to be especially ruthless at sea, casting aside rules and codes of conduct for the idea of treasure, sometimes attacking innocent crews for their cargo, claiming they were suspicious. They can be just as ruthless as pirates when it comes down to it.

The Scarlet Dread: The world famous mass organization of pirates that seem to rule the seas. Captain Avigo claims he used to be a captain himself for Scarlet Dread before he was betrayed. They are known for storming ports, intercepting trade ships, and being completely ruthless. Because of their mass numbers and seemly endless firepower, Scarlet Dread has practically eliminated any competing pirates. Only small time pirate ships dare roam the sea, always on a careful lookout for one of the Scarlet Dread’s numerous blood-red battleships. Though there are many captains in the organization, no one is really sure who leads them.

Navigation
________________________________________________________
When you depart on a sea trip, a charter will be posted, detailing the destination and the time it will take. You can be attacked, and can work on items in the ship. Time will be decided by length and by the DMs. You can speed up the trip by building a second sail, or a similar way to make the ship run faster.

Jobs
________________________________________________________
Pick one profession. These are your jobs, and you will create things for the ship and for others depending on what you choose. Please, we don't need 50 blacksmiths. Try to balance it out. You will be PMed the list of things you need, and the items that you can make. Try to make things that will be beneficial for everyone.

Captain- The leader of the ship, there can only be one of these at a time. Controls navigation for the ship and crew, and generally leads them around. Calls meetings, and overall keeps everyone in check.

Doctor: A expert medic in terms of knowledge in medicine and ailments. A Doctor is able sew up major wounds, disinfect cuts, etc. A Doctor is also very knowledgeable on illnesses and diseases. There can only be one in a crew.

Blacksmith- Metal is the blacksmith's medium, using heat and their skills to create metal objects, such as special upgrades for the ship and weapons such as swords and shields.

Carpenter- A woodworker, a Carpenter is quick with his wits, and swift with his hands. Creates clubs, and can repair the ship. Can also remodel and add parts to the ship.

Cook- Prepared with a recipe book and a determination that is matched by no other, the Cook makes food, and can create poison tips for any weapon, which are very effective on humans and creatures alike.

Tailor- A person who creates cloth for clothing and other purposes, the Tailor also sews it all together. Can repair and make sails, and can create and sew cloth clothing.

Demolition Expert- Well versed in blowing stuff to infinity, a Demolition Expert can create, upgrade, and repair cannons for the ship, and can create bombs and other heavy weaponry.

Gunsmith- Trained in the usage and creation of ranged weapons, the Gunsmith can create guns and make special bullets. Can also perform maintenance for guns. Has a supply of bullets for the crew.

Musician
- Talented in the musical arts, Musicians can create beautiful music. Either talented with an instrument, or with their voice, they can hold a note. No skills in the field of battle, but useful in certain cases.

Medic- This job allows the character to be able to treat minor wounds, infections, burns, and ailments. Unlike the Holy Magi, they are not devoted to healing, and can not enhance abilities.

Hunter- Being wilderness savvy, hunters are able to track and hunt/trap animals for food or skins (for tailor use). They are the most useful in forest or wilderness surroundings.

Gathering Items
________________________________________________________
When you reach land, there will be a bulletin detailing what items are found, and where they are. You may barter for them in shops, or go fetch them from caves and other places, but this may lead your character into peril.

Combat Classes
________________________________________________________
You pick one class, that will be the defining combat style and weapon type of the character that you create for this RP.

Freelancer- Fair with any weapon, the most balanced class. No special talents or abilities.

Pirate- Although well versed in the use of small swords, the pirate also has superior aim with cannons, and can capture ships. Can wield small swords and pistols.

Warrior- Swordsman, stronger than fencer. Uses 2-handed weapons and tends to clobber the enemy with force. Fairly slow, it is occasionally hard for a warrior to get a hit in.

Fencer
- Swordsman, swifter than warrior. Glides swift and smoothly, taking advantage of weak points and unblocked torsos. Fast, but often is unable to overpower the enemy.

Thief- Swift knife wielder, can prance about the field of battle, stabbing and jabbing. Gets weary fast, but can get more items on treks and quests.

Berserker Incredibly powerful fighter, uses axes, but often loses control in battle, resulting in deaths of team mates and oneself, in a worst case scenario.

Musketeer- Carries a muzzle loading musket, a very powerful weapon that takes a while to load, leaving them open to early attacks, and creates dire consequences should the musketeer miss his shot.

Telepath: A person with psychic abilities, usually a kind of clairvoyance, telekinesis, creating a mind shield or even pyrokinesis. However, these abilities do have a price by giving the user headaches with prolong use, mental deterioration, or even death.

Magician- Not a true mage, uses tricks and illusions rather than actual magic to achieve goals and defeat enemies.

Assassin: A job that allows the user to be avid in terms of tracking, stalking, and interrogation. Because of their tendency to strike when least expected, assassins are not very useful in a straight on fight.

Champ: A fighter that relies on their body itself as a weapon, rather then a sword. Champs fight using punches and kicks to inflict damage, and are fast and acrobatic. They can not wear heavy armor, and can not wield a weapon.

Archer: Users of the bow and arrow, the archer is great at long range combat. Though not as powerful as the musketeer, Archers are much faster and have shorter delays. Arrows can be lit on fire or equipped with explosives (through the help of others). Remember, just because I don't keep track of how many arrows you have, doesn't mean you have unlimited.

Magi- Staff wielders, specialize in elements. Choose one.

    Ice
Summons humidity in the air and bodies of water to fuel ice based attacks, and can use their abilities to benefit themselves and the crew while on the sea, such as freezing a path through the water

    Thunder
Although more powerful in storms, Thunder Magi can unleash powerful electrical attacks to stun and injure foes. Very effective at collecting fish for crew cooks.

    Fire
Fire magi are very useful, for they can unleash their magic anywhere with oxygen and something to fuel the fire. Can singe and destroy buildings and enemies. Must be careful, for burning the ship can result in disaster for the crew.

    Holy
Holy magi are useful for the entire crew, as they can heal and enhance the abilities of any member. The strength and healing abilities of this class depend on the staves and knowledge that they have obtained.

    Shadow
The most destructive and easily corruptible class, Shadow magi can send things into nothing and destroy entire villages at a time. Their attacks are slow but powerful, and are a good member of any team so long as they are kept in check.

    Wind
Manipulates wind currents to obey the user's commands.
Wind can be used in wide number of ways such as for blowing things away, redirecting the direction of the wind, etc. If trained enough, could create small tornadoes or whirlwinds to cause physical harm.

Earth: Allows the caster to manipulate the very soil around them (About a 10ft radius) to rise, fall, soften, harden, break open, and move to other commands. Be careful where you use it, or you might do more harm than good.

Rider- Rides a mount and uses a weapon of your choice. Is subject to any weaknesses that his beast may have. Not ideal in fighting without a companion. Choose from below.

Mounts_____________________________________________

Hydra-
Multiheaded amphibious creature, sporting poisonous breath and the ability to cross short spans of water without a ship.

Horse-
Incredible speed on land, easing combat. Also makes land travel swifter, taking less time to travel to locations on the same island.

Ternbite-
An armor plated lizard, fairly slow, but has a powerful bite and can fire spouts of flames out of its mouth. Can swim in shallow water.

Griffin-
A guardian of the divine, the griffin is a lion, flying upon eagle's wings. Can fly over spans of land and sea, and swiftly approach enemies. Tires faster than a horse.

Manticore-
A creature with the tail of a scorpion and the body of a lioness. Its head is that of a human's, but is often hooded to avoid people gawking at it. Can sting with its tail and fire poison spines.

Cocatrice-
A large bird, resembling a rooster with a lizard like tail. When ridden on, they can glide for short distances. In legends, it's gaze is said to be lethal, but in reality, it only causes minor headaches.

Map
________________________________________________________
Map of the current area. We are on Dasmal.
Image

Dasmal Island: A relatively small island and the start of our story. A lush forest covers most of the north of the island. There are not many settlements, spare Port Town.

- Port Town: A large, bustling city on the south coast of Dasmal. Port Town is a melting pot filled with people from all around the world. Strangely, no one seems to be native to the island themselves. Various shops, taverns, and street vendors make up the Town's economical makeup. On the far side of town is a enormous shipyard where sailors frequently store their ships.

- Darsem Forest: A large forest that takes up most of Dasmal's northern side. It is famous for it's sheer size and the fact that no sunlight ever makes it through the treetop canopy.

Heh, it was supposed to.
I guess we're gonna have to delay this one.
Sorry, the plushies won't be mailed for another week.

But in all seriousness, I thought we were starting too.
Ask Zesper to post it for me, as it is more his RP than mine.

Come to think about it, is it possible for other characters to join in when we go/after the meeting? Just wondering.
