Sure, that would be quite helpful actually

there is a typo in the rules section, and apparently I'm the only one who read them.

Pardon my lack of acronym knowledge, but shouldn't that read "KB" instead of "KiB?"

KiB stands for Kibibit, which is closely related to kilobit. (which is NOT to be confused with anything involving bytes)

But, if I remember the kibibit to bytes to kilobytes calculation correctly, that would mean that you can't have an avatar larger than 3,75 kilobytes.

One kilobit is one eighth of a kilobyte, and a kilobit is abbreviated as Kb, not KiB, b being a bit and B being a byte.

But we're not talking about kilobits, we're talking about kibibits, which IS abbreviated as Kib.

Of course, Cleod is probably talking about Kibibytes instead, now that I think of it, which seems more logical. (1 kibibyte = 1024 bytes)

Wait, 1024 bytes is a kilobyte, as 1024 is the closest power of 2 to 1,000.
So is a kibibyte just a reference to an "untrue" kilobyte?

The normal byte/bit prefixes are kilo, mega, giga and such, which come from the metric system, which usually uses jumps of 10, 100, 1000, etc. So, somewhere at the changing of the last century, some nutters decided they'd suddenly expect everyone to switch the meaning.

AKA : 1 kilobyte would become 1000 bytes, and 1 kibibyte would be 1024 bytes. And this worked, in some locations. Hard drives are marketed with 1 kilobyte being 1000 bytes where I live, but the hard drives themselves aren't, so when they claim you're getting a 640 gigabyte hard drive, you're actually getting one that's 596 gigabytes... Should've expected the market to jump at any chance to screw the customer over.

But yeah, KiB = kB.

Several section descriptions don't have a period at the end.
