1. You will be given the name of a user.

2. You will tail them to the next topic they post in.

3. You will start a conversation with them about the thread's topic.

4. After three posts of conversing with your target about the topic, you will be allowed a fourth post containing the word *assassinate*.

5. If you successfully keep them engaged in conversation long enough to post *assassinate*, you will have killed them and they will not be eligible to participate in this game. If you were not able to keep them with you, they will have evaded you.

6. If you kill them, you will report to them via PM and ask for a new target to assassinate. If they evade you, come back here to report your failure and request a new target by PMing Blue.

7. Return to this topic and post "I assassinated Username. <Link to successful assassination>"

8. You will most likely be added to the list and receive your first target within 24 hours of joining the game. If you do not, don't fret. I may not be online, or we might just not yet have a target for you.


Use your wits. If you blindly say "Hey, talk to me!" then you won't get far.

FAQ-

What if my target was killed by another assassin?

If the off chance that two assassins were given the same target occurs, the first to assassinate him will recieve the rights to his name on their victim list.

What if my target never responds? How long should I wait?

If after two days he does not respond to your attempt at conversing with him, he will have evaded you. You will return here to report your failure and receive a new target.

Is there a time limit for killing my target?

No. You may take as much time as you need. However, consider the fact that other assassins may jump ahead of you if you take too long. Be quick to coerce them and get the job done.

Interesting idea... if you were to keep this up, I suggest adding a rule that states the assassin must contribute to the thread whilst killing their target. Otherwise, off topic posts would skyrocket. Still, people would probably just say "Nice thread. Assassinate."

Kinda puts a damper on the whole experience.

I like the idea, but what if the post just had to be a really quick off topic one. Like your contributing, contributing, contributing, assassinate, contributing... something like that. Like a minimum number of posts before assassination or something. Keep people on their toes.

I like the idea and I'll join it, but I think many people will fail at this and fail ad sticking to the topic.

I have updated the first post. These are the guidelines you will follow when assassinating. If you fail to keep to them exactly, you will be removed from the game. Three posts of on topic banter, then a fourth post containing *assassinate* and only that.

Damac will PM you with your target. Be patient as he finds frequent posters to be eliminated. And remember, there may be a fellow assassin out to kill you. Be wary at all times and never let your guard down for an instant.
