Okay, from what I'm seeing :tails: got a new Up B correct? But what is going to compensate for his recovery?

Quick reminder that Jumps, unlike Recoveries, do not get refreshed on hit

That. . . doesn't matter. He still has Hover, Bair, Nspecal, Sspecial, and Spin-Dash to stall his air-time and mix-up his recovery in a large amount of ways.

Tails rarely had to use Uspecial to make it back to the stage to begin with as his jumps get him very high. His Uspecial was just freebe that allowed him to be more risky off-stage when he didn't have to be. So getting rid of it is like him not having it in the first place, especially if he gets another jump out of this.

So essentially, his recovery gets a very slight nerf, but his on-stage game is getting a significant buff. That's a scary buff for a character that's highly considered Top 5/10.

Every single one of these options has been nerfed.

Tbh I over reacted about the update for :tails: with 5 jumps.

Then I realized that if you keep hitting :tails: off stage (cause he will keep wasting his jumps), he will eventually just fall to his doom.

So this was actually a nerf and buff update for :tails: imo.

I have a suggestion, how about giving him 3-4 jumps and letting us ANGLE Side-B diagonally up and down? (At less than a 45 degree angle and only once in the air of course)

Side B being angleable would propably be the most sensible change to the move from a pure "does this make sense" standpoint. I keep trying to angle it just because it feels so natural to do so, which obviously doesnt work out too well most of the time :chibirobo:

And if Ref is correct then Spindash has now officially lost its last use for recovery after it already got the boot (kinda) in Beta. Im not complaining here, I mean its not like Tails really needed that in the first place, but still worth pointing out imo. What exactly were the changes done to Hover if I may ask?

So in 0.9b, :tails: had this thing where if you ran and immediately used Up-B he would move super fast. It got him the length of Final Destination AND THEN a bit more. In Beta it only gets him to like 7/8 of Final Destination or from the start of one Sky Sanctuary platform to the end of the next. I think this needs to be fixed, but I think the damage Up-B does got nerfed, because in 0.9b you could deal like 9-11 percent in one go, and it's 6 percent at most in Beta. So yeah.

Oh yeah I'm a new person here.

Well I'm happy to tell you that Tails doesn't even have that Up B anymore
He has a new one now that might be in 1.0.3 (It might not, they're just testing stuff, but)
It's a little drone from Tails' Adventure (Kindof obscure game) that functions kinda like Bowser Jr.'s Mechakoopa
So Tails is like Yoshi now
But with 5 jumps instead of 2 and no super armor :sandbag:
