Have you considered just not bothering with the MU and taking losses to Lunary anyway? It's not like with Sheik you're going to instantly start wrecking Lunary's Lloyd, and he's really the main Lloyd player.

I've been doing that for the whole time I've been playing lollllll
tbh I think I'll still go falcon vs. lunary cause even if I win with sheik vs. lloyd (unlikely) I'll still get bopped by MK and end up losing anyway sheik will be good for other lloyd players

if there was one thing TAC was good at, it was taunt canceling

TAC3 also pioneered the best way to edgeguard: "Show me ya moves!" to edgehog.

Two ways as far as I know, maybe Jammy or Godot can elaborate:
1. Use tap jump off, press the jump button for a couple frames, and then uair. 2. Short hop with tap jump, use C-stick up.
I guess you could also use both.

using tap jump I use c-stick up you probably get usmash a lot anyway even if you do it perfectly, cause lag but that's online mode eh?

I don't use tap jump, and I primarily use cstick up to get off my uairs But sometime I still get utilt or upsmash if I try to get the earliest uair possible. Oh, and I'm 95% percent sure TAC3 uses keyboard.

Ok thanks I can do it now. But how do I approach Uair with short hop? I just end up jumping the whole way

Practice.
Go into training mode, against a Marth, and practice running. Then practice doing running short hops. Then add the uair.
A good way to practice SH uair is to practice against a level 9 DK and do the following combo: fthrow -> running SH uair -> regrab -> bthrow -> running SH uair -> uairs -> knee.

it's all about practise my frienderino btw I advise against trying to do preset combos on CPUs, as when you try them on actual opponents their DI may be different
instead try to rack up that true combo counter as much as possible while comboing opponents in training mode I recommend starting by comboing marth as he's pretty much the perfect weight to juggle with uair into knee
this will help you react to the trajectory of the opponent more as well instead of going for the same pattern every time
once you get the motions down I recommend moving onto online practise ASAP, as it will expose you to real human DI

quick question about knee if anyone knows
since it has 7 frames of landing lag and it has only 5 frames of shieldstun is knee ever safe on shield?
so assuming the opponent has a grab which is active on frame 4 here's how I assume it goes you knee their shield and enter 7 frames of landing lag while they enter 5 frames of shield stun after their shield stun has worn off, they input a grab which is active frame 4 since their grab is active on frame '9', you have 2 frames to act before they grab you so the fastest thing you can do is jab, which comes out on frame 2
in this situation, will your jab beat their grab or vice-versa? also, does 2 frames of dashing away give falcon enough distance to avoid many shieldgrabs?
of course if they have faster OOS options such as MK's grab or shine OOS, knee is clearly not safe on shield
(posted this on starkiller's falcon guide too just for extra exposure)
