Whatcha mean by that? Fox is fantastic. Maybe not as good in your eyes, but when I look at Fox, I see potential. It's up to the player to see if they can use that potential.

I was kinda saying that. I'm not saying he's top top tier or anything, I'm saying he's defnitely at least top high tier material. At this point, I'm just waiting to see if anyone else can handle his high learning curve. Fast reactions/fingers, speed, tech prowness, and memorization in certain areas are all required to be a good Fox player.

If you can dair>Shine>JC Shine>JC Shine>(JC Shine >)bair, I can consider you a great Fox.
Now I know that sounds outrageous, but trust me, any human can do it. I do it constantly per match.
Even trying just 2 Shines on a regular basis can really show a difference.

Fox is fine, he doesn't need wavedashing. Perfect the way he is. Besides, I enjoy using Fox right now. I see no reason to change him.


Though, I wish his Fox Illusion would have a bigger ledge sweetspot. I find it super annoying if you miss one since you have to catch up so much
if the opponent has a low damage lead. This isn't exactly troublesome for most characters, but some like Wario or Samus could be a pain.

Has there been any talk about making Fox just a smidge bigger? Pikachu looks like he ate another Fox standing next to him.

I dunno how you manage to do his Shine taunt, do you just do it really fast or is there specific timing?

I asked TSON for th frame data on the shine, and he says the shine is active frame 1 and can be JC on the next frame (at 30 FPS, this means the shine is active for 1-2 and can be canceled frame 3 in 60 FPS terms). Jumps and specials can be buffered, so now I can get these out on the first possible frame. Doing multishines this fast and with turnarounds is nigh-impossible though.

Jeez, that's deep stuff.

Normally I just spam Shine and hope I look cool

Fox is so much faster than the rest of the cast that I can no longer deny trying to master him.

I dunno about Fox. I think he certainly has potential, but even in the very capable hands of DS or Starkiller I don't think he has quite the same potential as other technical characters, and I think he is a solid high tier but nothing incredible.
