Even though I am newly registered, does not mean I have only been here for a few days since my registration. I have been spectating these forums weeks before my registration. And have just only thought of registering to provide something useful for this community. I am not complaining about the members of this forum because that will break rule #18. This is just a suggestion on how things should go to make the place better and not become "noobland".

In my eyes, spam is nearly everywhere in this forum. Most people go off-topic, flame or insult others, post 1-word posts, post smileys-only posts and make quote pyramids. Don't even get me started to quote your actions, you know who you guys are. More than half of the community is doing this. And reality check, including the developers of the game. Let's have a recap of the rules Cleod9 has posted in rules topic, shall we?

Members Insulting Other Members
Quote:
2.) Be overall nice to eachother in this forum, no threats or hate messages or anything. (No flaming!)

Apparently, ordinary members and developers in this forum punish newbies by insulting them. I will create examples that are based on real people in this forum.

Newbie: "Hey! When will Cleod release SSF2? How do I make a sprite?"

What I suggest to do in this situation, is instead of insulting him, you should just answer the question, link him to the rules and introduce him more to the site so stuff like this will not happen to again, especially to the newbie himself because he might come back to ask the same question, or flame/insult you back.

Spamming
Quote:
4.) NO POSTING SPAM!! (That includes links to sites with obnoxious flashing images, or posting a topic with no significance to anything whatsoever, etc.)
Requesting a lock will be considered as spam as well.

Most members in the forums make useless posts and go off-topic. This is usually seen in the SSF2 forums and can become very annoying seeing how many pages it can make. Sometimes, the reason behind this is the post count. I know there are members of all forums that feel superior with a greater post count.

I suggest in this matter, is for moderators to delete the posts and warn them for spam. If they do it again, a punishment fitting the member will be given.

Rules and Warning System
If this hasn't been done yet, I suggest creating a warning system. Wherein a member is warned for breaking a rule once. If he breaks the rule again, a punishment will be given. The punishment should fit the action that the member did and which rule he broke. Here is an example.

Posting Pornography - Suspended for 5 days

That is all I have in mind for now. It is up to you if you guys will do any action or not. Do what you wish with this thread. I hope I made a statement here. Thank you for your time.

At least bother to learn the inner workings of the forum before you suggest something like this.

Like, you know...

BEING HERE LONGER THAN FOUR DAYS?
