It only gets better(in my opinion). Ok Ima go out there and speculate Ayumi Tachibana from the Famicon Detective Series, why? simple, it allows the devs to come up with a unique moveset again(which they "had so much fun" doing with  ) and it adds another lady to the roster, not to mention she's a retro character so she fills multiple criteria. I also forgot to throw in three more characters I am speculating. I am also speculating that Villager, Young Link, and Duck Hunt Dog are joining the roster. I do not know how to make a SSF2 Fan Roster so that is my list.

Shadow - Yes Luffy - Complete the original four anime. Andy - Sorry, who? Lip - NO! Ganondorf - Only if he has a new moveset. Lucas - Ness is all we need. Little Mac - I don't see him in this game. Ice Climbers - We got an Ice Climbers stage leaked a while back, so it could work. Crono - Would be nice, but no. Zero - Probably. Banjo-Kazooie - Probably not. King Dedede - YES! Bowser Jr. - ONLY if he's in the clown car  Pit - No. Diddy Kong - Yes. Falco - Maybe. Wolf - Fox and Falco are all we need. Lucario - Only if Mewtwo gets in first. Ike - Marth and Marth only. Mewtwo - MAKE IT HAPPEN   Skull Kid - NOOOOOOOOO0O0OOOOOOO0OOO00000000OOOOOOO000!!!! !!! !! Cloud - Could work. Olimar - Distant Planet stage. R.O.B. - YES! Villager - Smashville stage. Cloud Crono Mewtwo I think when SSF2 the full game comes out those will be 3 new chars to SSF2. For someone completely new I say Roy, Ice climbers, King K Fool and maaaybe just maaaybe Ridley(if he's in prepare to play 40 CPU matches with samus)
