It's likely someone has already pointed this out, but it's worth mentioning just in case. I don't want SSF2 Beta to have this problem, which is probably just a small coding oversight.

Whenever Jigglypuff uses Sing, normally, enemies in a certain range get a "dizzy" animation. Sonic, however, does not - instead, he spot dodges continuously and becomes invincible.

As a note, I've tested this on several stages, and have noted no exceptions.

Does anyone else have the same issue? And if so, has this been patched out in Beta? My favorite Sing --> Rest combo is unusable on Sonic in v0.9b for this reason :(

Thanks!
TPS

That's because Sonic does not have a dizzy animation yet.

Thanks for the clarification. To be clear, he will have one in Beta, right? Or at the very least, can he not be invincible?

You can still hit, grab and etc with him. The animation is just replaced by that set of sprites. And even though there is no indication said that Sonic will get his dizzy animation with a proper set of sprites, I'm 100% sure the dev team isn't that dumb to not add it in in SSF2 Beta.

Nope. He is very much invincible, to my chagrin. Try using Sing next to him yourself. My suspicion is that the dev team just forgot, which is why I made this thread in the first place.

I hope not. It's kinda weird to have an invincible dizzy animation for a character for no reason :/

Ahhh, I see what went wrong now. I tried the Sing --> Rest combo with Jigglypuff and it missed because the hurtbox was smaller than I thought it was. So I assumed Sonic was invincible.

Well then, that resolves the issue I guess. Thanks.
