this patch has no changes that will affect anything except visual stuttering

It really has. Now I can't have as many matches before. When the match got under 1 minute is where it would mess up, but now its has risen to under 2 minutes.

I don't find it lagging much anymore, but I can't stand the 3 frame whatever delay.

It's certainly playable, but I feel pretty crippled compared to most other ppl.

it was the same last demo tho. I have a test build with input lag set to 2 frames and it looks pretty terrible, we might have to stay put.

What about variable input delay based on connection speed? I know Smash 64 netplay does this.

Alright, so it seems that this patch is better when people are far away from you.
The closer they are, the laggier this is. I had a few matches on it and it seems to have gotten laggier than before.
But, with Skailler and a few other people, it was a lot better.

I fell like im a bad tester bc both my computer and internet are really good and I don't have a lot of time to play SSF2 as much as I wish but from what ive seen so far is some input delay. The first day I played it was fine but today I played some games and it was bad.

I have had some 100% lagless matches, so it's not completely out of the ordinary.

What surprised me, however, was how well the game handled fighting against someone who lives literally on the opposite side of the Earth - the game was still fully playable. I have yet to encounter a player who lags in the worst way possible (100% lagless except for constant spikes that eat all inputs). Also, I played some sets with Kylos, and he appears to now be able to work at his full capabilities. I'd say this patch is an overall success.

The only weird thing I've encountered is the complete failure of trying to connect to Lite, even though we've had many successful bouts in the past (and both live within the same general region). It just hangs up in the Waiting Room 100% of the time.

It seems like to me, the two settings for latency should be low distance (version before this) and long distance (this test).

Looks like people have much less lag from others farther away, but idk

I agree with Dark Ermac the connections with people who are from different countries are magnificent, fresh, and clean, but on the other hand people who are in the same countrey closer have a high percentile of lagg spikes.
