Finally saw the Q&A and the trailer and, well... uber fangasm.
Though they kept emphasizing HD... God, I hope this will be available on Wii, and doesn't get shortchanged like Unleashed was. Man, that pissed me off so much.

I have got to get quicker at finding information.
I hope and pray that this is going to be a true revival. No idiot friends, no guns, no stupid story, no bad voice acting, no freaking filler. Just Sonic (Tails and Knuckles would be alright, as long as playing them is optional), speed, jumping, and fun.

Well, I finished Sonic '06 yesterday and I fail to see what was so horrible about that game. Definitely not the best, but I don't think it deserved all the crap it got. Yes, there were glitches, but I never found any that hindered the gameplay or cheated you out of rings or lives. My only major complaints are the ridiculous loading times and the bestiality in the storyline (I mean, that was just disturbing). The most frustrating thing is that it could have been as good as the Sonic Adventures had they only spent a bit more time developing it.

the only bad thing about it was the sticky controls/slow reaction. but the flying characters pissed me off too. but you could mod the game to fix the glitches and speed.

It would be possible. It's often been said that the time-travel story was interesting. But it could've been better if the story would've had less holes and would'nt have tried to be Final Fantasy. That and the beastiality was really unnecessary.

i lost faith in sonic since adventures 2, yet i hope this new 2d games makes me happy

If you haven't already, check out the Advance and Rush series. They're great games. Sonic in 2d has already been mastered, 3d needs to be worked on however.

believe it or not i actually like all the 3d sonic games

i didnt think 06 was as bad as everyone thinks(though elise and sonic are a REALLY bad pair)

black knight was decent, but it was like a 2 hour game

secret rings was... ok, i don't really like that one

heroes was awesome(the longest i think just because you have to beat it 4 f*** times AND get the f*** chaos emeralds before you get to the REAL final boss(who you need to fight 4 times))

adventure 2 was awesome(never played the first one)

and unleashed was good, except they said that they would bring back the 2d sonic experience...partially, but they didn't say that like 70% of the game was the werehog stages. other than than, it was decent.

people threw sonic games out of portion when they said they crappy and sucked but sonic unleashed wii i wanted to break the game

06 really hurt Sonic's reputation. I think that it could've been a good game, if it would've had more development time. In any case, it isn't the worst Sonic game ever. Sonic Labyrinth, anyone?

How about Sonic Spinball Game Gear edition.

I've never played that one, but I've heard that it's just about as bad.
