Johnathan didn't know what to be more surprised at, the envelope or the fact Carter was actually there. The envelope was bearing a strange sigil and only had two words in script. Who left this here? With many more questions buzzing around in his mind, he summoned his right billhook and began to mark his left arm. When he was finished he didn't notice any changes. He frowned and his billhook dissipated as he thought to himself that was a waste of time. It only took him a few seconds to figure out what sigil it is through process of elimination. Fors, the sigil of chance. It had to be. Almost everything else had some sort of... visual effect, to put it. Every fiber in his being was screaming at him to go and try it put right away, but he decided to wait until tomorrow. For now he was going to experiment more with his sigils. He took out a pencil and a piece of paper and began.

Daniel read and reread the paragraph. From what he understood, using this kind of magic would deplete his mind or something? With it, though, he could control the elements. The teenager was getting a little excited. This was pretty cool, and there was a whole other magic book in the club room he could learn from, with yet another under the bed. If he could find the school's magic club, they would surely want to see this! He might even become their leader.
Daniel extinguished the orb, grabbed the first glass object he could see in the room, and hid the book in a small bag before leaving to find the magic club.

What August did in his free time was none of Maximilian's business, even if it was against the rules. Besides, Maximilian had no mind to even speak at the moment and simply wished to relax. Throwing himself onto his bed he closed his eyes and turned away from his roommate as he drifted to a steady sleep.

"Ignoring you," Dom said firmly. He figure out on his own that the actions of the club should remain a secret, and Dom wasn't the one to tell these things. Even if he did, there wasn't much in it for Dom, maybe some fame, and beside, Anujan most likely wouldn't believe him. The whole concept of fighting away ghosts and spirits was absurd to the normal person. It wasn't that long ago until Dom got introduced to the Archive Club's true reason. Even he was still wrapping his head around everything.
After lying there for a minute or two, Dom wasn't really in the mood to sleep. He turned over and stared at Anujan for a second just before climbing out of bed. "It's too early to sleep, I'm going out for a walk," he said as he slipped his shoes back on and turned for the door. "Also," he added, "The answer you're looking for won't be in that box, trust me." With that said, Dom left his room and started to wander. He really didn't have an idea on where to head to, only that he wanted to get out of that room, so he headed for the first place that came to his mind, the library.
Upon reaching the library, there were a few people at this hour, all of them quietly in their books. There was one boy who he recognized from the club, but didn't know his name, so Dom decided not to approach him. Looking around some more, he noticed Logan talking to someone else. With not much else to do, he went up to him to say hi.
"Hey," Dom quietly said, putting some effort into not disturbing others.

"Ah yes," spoke Chantelle softly as she dusted the dirt off of her gardening gloves and sat in a crouched position, "Well, I'm Chantelle, and I'm president of the gardening club." She pointed at a pair of girls, one with long black hair and tanned brown skin, while the other had short brown hair tied in a short ponytail and electric blue bangs. "She's Aliyah," she said pointing to the first girl "And she's Regina," then pointing at the next girl "They're both second years, Aliyah majoring in the Arts, and Regina majoring in science. Don't let Regina convince you to do any experiments with her" she chuckled. She then pointed at another girl who seemed mildly out of place with her blonde hair done in loose ringlets, though a serene peace seemed to emanate from her face as she buried bulbs beneath the earth for spring. "That's Trish," she stated "She may seem a bit stuck up, seeing as she's one of the most popular girls in school, but she's really nice once you get to know her. She and I are both third years. We don't have any freshmen in our club yet, but we're still waiting." After that she went back to her task of pulling out weeds.

The moon hung low and full in the night sky, filling the streets with light. The street appeared to be vacant, though Adi's senses told him otherwise. While neither the original sensation, nor the whispering voices returned from earlier, there was a dark malevolent presence nearby. He seemed to blink once, and suddenly, a man in a black suit stood underneath a streetlight that flickered violently as he leaned against it. A wide-brimmed fedora was tipped low, covering all but his mouth in shadow. He smiled at Adi.
"Well" spoke the demon in a cavernous voice "Colour me surprised, it was an Angelorum causing all this fuss?" He straightened his posture unnaturally as he got up from his leaning position and walked towards Adi with his hands in his pockets. "So tell me, how is it that your aura seems so much...smaller now, you got something to hide angel boy? Does Daddy know where you are?"
----------------------------------
Carter tossed and turned as Johnny practised quickly drawing and executing his sigils. Suddenly Carter sat up with his eyes wide open, and he turned to Johnny with an incredulous expression. The crystal on his necklace glowed violet as the boy glared at his friend with tired eyes. The room began to heat up significantly.
"You want to practice?" he said with a smirk "Let's practice." He stood up on his bed and his brass knuckles materialized as he called them forth. He bounced off his bed and charged at Johnny with his fists raised to strike the boy.

Extending his senses outward, Daniel was washed by various ambient energies within the school. Most powerful of these energies were those emanated by his omnivident peers around him. The energy was rich and every now and then he would feel spikes of energy as he passed more powerful individuals, such as August and Maximilian in their rooms. Filtering out the Omnivident energy, he could see the various ghostly forces of energy, most of it residing where the s**** was located. Following that was the ocean of nonspecializing spiritual energy of the civilian masses; it flowed like a gentle ocean, calm yet bountiful. Every now and then he would sense sparks, for those whose spirit was far more active than the average human, but not quite omnivident. Ignoring all these waves of energy, Daniel finally found the trail he was looking for, the energies produced by magic.
Typically one wouldn't be able to recognize that this specific strand of energy was magic, though because Daniel had truly delved into the arcane arts his spirit now recognized it like any other foreign energy. The trail of magic was very well hidden, the practitioners of the art truly knew what they were doing, for they had to hide their work from prying eyes and sensing hearts. They knew that there were those who did not practice magic, but were capable of supernatural feats.
Daniel followed the trail out of the dormitory and into the darkened halls of the school. As most of the students had left, the halls were lonely and his footsteps echoed as he walked. He walked down the science wing, and eventually found himself facing the gym doors. Shrugging to himself he entered the gym and walked into the locker room in the back. The trail ended at one particular locker, leaving the boy confused, surely this couldn't be where the trail ends?

Lotus looked at the girl. "So are you asking me to join?" She asked with a slight curiosity in her voice. She sat there begging that Dot wouldn't ruin this or at least cause a disruption.

Daniel was amazed at how well his supernatural senses were working. Whereas before he could clumsily sense waves of spiritual energy, now it was as if the souls of his peers were laid bare before him. Magic, too, could be felt with ease; seeming to drift about in loose trails. The experience was much different from the feeling of spiritual energy which gathered in clumps.
The locker, which the wavy path led him to, seemed no different from any other locker. What was special about it? An odd aura hung in the air, as if something major was about to happen to him. He reached out with his senses, trying to find a clue, but suddenly had an idea that seemed much better. Reaching into his pocket, the new student withdrew something, a glass orb that was once very useful to him. It appeared perfectly spherical. Daniel gazed down upon his treasure, hoping for a glimpse of what to do next.

"I say it's all a load of hooey, and someone accidentally knocked over a lantern and killed an innocent family." Bernice finished. Logan, who was a bit more apt to the superstitious than the studious girl, wasn't convinced. "I wouldnae be so sure, Bernice. The pages dunnae lie. Have ye met the current keeper of the shop? The woman's a wicken, tae be sure." He responded half-jokingly. Though he fully believed what he said to be true, it would probably be best if Bernice didn't know that. The circumstances surrounding the mystorium grew more eerie with each new piece of information he gleaned. "Anyway, seems interesting. Ye know where I could find a copy o' that book?"

Junior Douglas' warning about demonic activity was right on the mark. Not that he really doubted the junior in any case. The scan he had conducted was like sonar. He could see everything but in return, he also broadcast his presence. To him, he was basically fishing with himself as a lure. Adi had a hunch that there was a lingering presence near the scene of the crime but an Exitimus like this wasn't exactly expected. There was no point in trying to talk to one given their nature. In addition to its abilities, it would folly to try and take it alone. However, he didn't want to have the demon's question go unanswered lest it think him weak.
He released his awareness of evil in to a small area around him. Though the demon was alone, how long that would last was anyone's guess. That and he was in the middle of the street, not the best place to be starting a fight with the supernatural. Especially not after he gave that whole spiel to his juniors. But first things first, he gave one good look the demon and raised his hand and beckoned. The message was clear. "Come and get some."
With that, Adi backed away in a tactical retreat weapon in hand. He had to find a secluded spot, in the alleyway between apartments, and speed-dialled Li as fast as he could.

Being caught off guard, Johnathan almost flinched as he quickly scribbled a sigil on the piece of paper he was using prior to this, and held it up as it turned into a iron shield that would block Carter's sudden attack, but was blown back a bit because of the force. He still had his new sigil marked on his arm, so it would seem he would get to test it out tonight. Johnathan wasn't sure if that crystal of his could change color, but he remembered it being blue.
"What's with the sudden enthusiasm?" He asked behind the shield, testing him a bit. "Are you thinking of coming back?" All of this was sudden, but Johnathan decided to go along with it. He quickly thrusted his leg in an attempt to kick him in the stomach.

Chantelle smiled at Lotus, "If you'd like to join us, I'd be more than happy to accept you among our ranks," she got up with a slight groan and stretched her arms as she stood up, "Especially since it'll be winter soon you won't have to worry about this club's activities interfering with the Darren Archive Club. We tend to simply hang out at the mall or go other places during the winter. You're free to tag along as well"
----------------------------------------
Clouds began to fill the glass sphere and they swirled in a spiral before dissipating to reveal an image. The glass ball showed two students, one an athletic and lithe looking girl with long brown bangs framing her face and the rest of her hair tied into a bun, and the other a boy of perhaps Indian-descent with curly black hair. The two students were shown walking through the gym doors that Daniel himself had walked through just moments before and they entered the locker room. They stopped in front of the locker where Daniel presently stood, and the girl stepped forward placed her hand on the locker for a second and then stepped away. The locker popped open and both students looked around cautiously before stepping into the locker and disappearing. It closed itself promptly behind them once they both had entered. The images in his glass sphere then faded.
Suddenly Daniel heard the doors of the gym swing open. --------------------------------------
In Li's room, his cellphone vibrated on the his bedside table as Adi's call went through.
--------------------------------------
"Come now angel boy," spoke the demon playfully as he casually followed Adi into the alleyway "I promise I won't skin you alive this time. We just need to t-" The demon was interrupted by a flash of bright white light and a ear-piercing ringing sound. Next thing Adi knew, the demon lay in a crumpled smoking heap on the ground. Had it been a mortal, it surely would've had many broken bones, if not dead. Once again the whispers returned.
"Angelorum" they all whispered over and over again. The demon roared monstrously as it bent itself back into shape with sickening cracking sounds and stood up; the twisted smiled on its face curled into a malevolent frown. There was then a whistling sound as two golden arrows flew down from the rooftop and embedded themselves into the legs of the creature and pinned it into the ground while a waft of steam and smoke rose from the wound. Feathers of white and brown fell around him, and though he thought he sensed the presence of holy energy, it was far too weak to be any sort of angel. Especially in comparison the energy emitted by the fallen angel that he had encountered weeks before.
"Come out and face me you coward!" roared the demon, no longer interested in toying with Adi.
"Angelorum" spoke a voice that sounded like a chorus of children, yet like a great gale blowing through creaking trees, "Your time has come." It truly was difficult for either the demon or Adi to determine where this being was located as it spoke, "The enemy encamps about you fearlessly, for this principality is theirs, but they shall soon taste your blade and you shall turn the tide of battle in your favour. The enemy shall be crushed beneath your feet, and from you they will not be able to flee. Even now your spirit flickers as it prepares for the impending battle."
"There is no grace," suddenly spoke the whispering voices once again in a collective tone that seemed to imply displeasure.
"Abomination," growled the demon "<I will pluck every feather from your being and devour your spirit>" The language seemed foreign, it was nothing Adi had ever heard before, but for some reason he could understand every word innately.
---------------------------------
Bernice smiled and reached for a facedown book that lay at her feet and handed it to Logan. It was titled The Arclight Colony: A History of Darren. "Here you go" she said with a shy smile "It's an incredibly interesting read, and I am sure there are even more books concerning the history of Darren. Who knew it was such an interesting city?"
It was then that Dom approached the pair and quietly said "Hey" Bernice's animation receded at the approach of someone whom she did not know that well, but she smiled innocently and responded likewise. "Hey" she said, while quickly glancing toward Logan whom she assumed was a peer of the boy.
----------------------------------
It was as if Carter could see the kick coming even before Johnathan kicked out his leg. The boy caught his leg without so much as shedding a bead of sweat, and he smiled teasingly. "Don't you see?" stated Carter calmly "This isn't about taking out the boogie man, or some ghosts" Carter held Johnny's foot firmly preventing him from moving it at all. "We're dealing with gods! We barely escaped with our lives from that apartment building. Why do you think Lady Dawn has been absent for all this time? She knows we're doomed. We're not strong enough; no one is."
With that said, he threw Johnny against the opposite wall, as if the boy were nothing but a ragdoll.
------------------------------------
Evelyn continued to shudder, still feeling shaken by the thought of being stuck in the spirit realm until the day she died. She had always been discreet enough to never be discovered by the other spirits, how had that spirit noticed her presence from the others? She summed it up as being sloppy, though her nerves were still shaken and she pulled her blanket closer to her body. She slowed her breathing and shut everything else out of her mind as she regained her composure.
It was then that she heard a loud rapping on her door, that nearly made her jump out of her skin. Within a moment, she had whipped out her crucifix with the hidden dagger revealed and she stood in a defensive, yet feral, pose; she was ready to strike within two seconds flat. However her brain soon caught up to her years of training, and she realized that she was tense from her prior incident, naturally. Straightening out her pose and re-sheathing her crucifix and tucking it back underneath her blouse she casually walked to the door just as another set of knocking struck.
"Yes?" she spoke in her most aloof and calm tone that she could muster, and was glad she did so, as Alice and the new girl, Tsubaki, stood at her door.

Damian's dreams seemed fairly mundane; they were of the usual things: saving the world with his fully mastered powers over lightning and invisibility, enjoying a buffet of food, shooting the game winning goal, and an assortment of other things. That all came to an end however, and eventually he found himself simply sleeping in a dream-less state.
It was while he floated in the warm encompassing blackness of sleep that Damian began to feel something strange. It was a feeling reminiscent of an upset stomach mixed with a sense of apprehension. It was a lingering sense that seemed to coil about him in the dreamscape; it nearly suffocated him as it coiled tighter and tighter.
Damian immediately sat up in bed. His room was dark and Daniel's bed was empty. There was lingering scent of something having burned as well as an unusual energy he didn't recognize. Above all however, that prevailing sense of dread from his dream continued to linger about him, however it seemed even stronger now that he was awake. Innately he knew that this was some sort of evil, perhaps this is what it was to be Spiritorum. What he chose to do next with his findings however were left up to him.

Paralyzed as he sat up on his bed, Damian's eyes searched the room but they could no nothing with the darkness, so he got himself off the bed cautiously and warily, he searched for the light switch till he found it and flicked it, lighting up the room. There was nothing unusual in sight but he couldn't shake off what he felt, it was tugging at him, begging him to find out. The lingering scent hardly bothered him compared to the dread and the energy he felt didn't grab his attention quite as much either. He felt as if he was in danger, as if something bad was going to happen. He was sure there was an unpleasant presence. Damian held his head, thinking "I don't like this, I should go somewhere public, being alone doesn't seem great right now." Should he seek help? Should he hide? Then it struck him, the girl, Evelyn mentioned he should meditate. Quite frankly, he knew just about nothing of meditation but he should always try. He acted upon these thoughts and crossed his legs, then closed his eyes. With any luck, this would perhaps show him the presence? Damian didn't know what to think, he just hoped this would help in some way. He then cleared his mind of any thoughts, trying his best to ignore the feeling he had and sat there, waiting for something or nothing to happen.

Alice looked from Evelyn to Tsubaki. Even though it would be interesting to see these two interacting and working together, she'd wasted enough time already. "Well, here we are. This is where I leave you. I've got a mission to plan. Good luck!" With that, she dashed back to the club room to see who was actually left to come along to the scrapyard.
Daniel jumped and swore when the door slammed. Those two kids were obviously using some kind of magic. If they found him now, what would they do? The transfer student decided to play it safe and make what he saw in the crystal ball a reality, ducking behind a row of lockers. He would follow their example to open the passageway.

"Ah, thanks." Logan said, taking the book from her hands. "Hey." Bernice said unexpectedly. The Scot responded with a quizzical glance, but noticed that the girl's greeting had not been directed at him. He whirled around to see Dom standing behind him. "Oh, hey! I didnae hear ye there." He greeted his fellow club member, rustling his hair anxiously. "Ye went with Lee's group tae the scrap yard, right? Did ye find anythin' interesting?"

Li's cellphone was sitting next to him while he was studying. When it started to vibrate, he glanced over to the screen. It was Adi. Curious why he would call him now rather than send him a text, he paused his studies and picked up.
"Hello," he quickly said. It sounded like Adi was running from his end of the phone. "Everything alright? You sound like you're in a hurry."

Dom had absolutely no clue who this girl was, but she responded to his greeting, so he did a small wave back. Pulling out a seat at the table, he sat down to reply to Logan.
"Yeah, it was really interesting," he started with. "I used to sneak into that scrapyard when I was young with my friends all the time. When we got to the crane, the weather seemed to go all funny and a radio turned on randomly. I think there was a gho-,". Dom paused mid sentence, turning to Bernice, then back to Logan with a confused look on his face almost asking if he should be allowed to say that.
