Yup, so based on first impressions alone, try to predict what the tier list will be like for this patch. Not really based on evidence and results, just based on speculation

My thoughts:

Goku is probably still about as good, middle of A+ tier the least.
Fox is about the bottom of A+ or Top of A. Great still, but will take some getting used to the lack of easy (in my view cheap) kills
MetaKnight, without infinite is floating in low A tier

Samus is no longer spammy and a one trick pony with projectiles fixed and Charge Shot damage reduced
Ichigo is now very dangerous with dash attack killing, may rise more than we expect.

Link looking good, A tier
DK is around B tier with bowser
Jigglypuff got that huge boost with those buffs. Somewhere in A tier
Ness looking like a B+ tier now

Peach and ZSS looking to rise up a bit, maybe B tier

Bandana Dee is now a Mid-High tier. Great for him
Bomberman looking better maybe middle of C+ tier
Naruto is like barely better, maybe bottom of C+

Yoshi is B tier
Kirby is now C+. After all these years, he is... not terrible anymore

I love the buffs given to , and yes he probably belongs in A tier now.
But what would you put in D/F tier?

I personally think Kirby will be in the same tier when people will realize how the down throw and up throw nerf screwed up Kirby.

Naruto will probably share the "STOP READING HERE" tier since his neutral B is now horrible and he's not that much better.

Link and Ichigo are defiantly gonna be top 5.

Expecting to be back in Bottom. Mechanics changes ended up screwing him over with any attack meant to link into each other.
will probably be top 10 easily, top 5 and becoming sort of irrelevant.

That's my take.

They hardly helped him in the first place. Grab game doesn't matter if you can't get a grab. Did you not get anything out of the Kirby thread?

I think Kirby will be mid to low tier, but he will still be considered viable, as will most of the characters.
I think Naruto will probably be the 9b Wario or .2 Yoshi of this update.
I also think that Pac will be lower, due to the fact that the devs changed the way catching items in midair works. Now you can't attack while catching it, meaning you basically can't do an aerial if you're near a fruit.
Tails has been drastically changed, and due to removal of his glide and the addition of an excellent stage control option, it's hard to say where he'll place on the tier list.

I'd say BM is no longer Bottom 5, although he's still pretty low tier

BBM is not as good as 9b, but good enough to not be Bottom 10

Lloyd no longer lags? Doesn't matter to me lol my net sucks send help I wanna play online at full speed

With the projectile nerf and that small buffer change, I feel like MK is actually going to be a bit better than you guys might think he is (I hope LOL).

Idk what to say for ZSS on the list tbh.

I personally think ichi > goku but that's just me
also tails is still really underrated i think he's def top 5

They did not buff bm enough to compete with those around him tbh, he's sitting around 6-7th worst in the game, still higher than Sonic

BDee got buffed well enough but he is 100% still bottom 10 as those changes didnt really affect his rather bad neutral and some of the changes are kinda questionable like making nair a single hit move

Better than Bottom 5 obvs

I think Link will be one of, if not the, best character in the game thanks to Bombs dealing a massive amount of damage [between 17% to 21%] on all foes and still being a combo tool. Also, his combo game, damage racking capabilities and KO prowess are extremely powerful. Everything he has in his kit is extremely useful as a tool and can make everyone fear and respect him at the same time.

He's at least in the top 5 range for sure.

Yeah only one major change in that his fair has less hitstun and less BKB but more KBG, besides that the rest of the changes were all fairly minor or removing bugs from some moves

And now with the new changes to characters/nerfs to Ichigo, Link will probably be an even more dominant force.
