I dunno I love every single 2D Zelda. Oracle of ages and Seasons might be my favorites. (Which by the way are coming to the 3DS eshop, highly recommend them if you haven't played them) This game looks fantastic. The chalk drawing mode is very reminiscent of wind waker. I believe this is the first Zelda game to feature Toon Links voice recording and not be Toon Link. Anyone notice how your health and meter, etc are on the bottom of the screen? What's up with that. It wont affect the gameplay at all but as a Zelda fan, it kinda bugs me. I believe we also saw the master sword in the footage. In one clip his sword has a blue hilt and shoots beams at full health.

This game uses the circle pad and the buttons to play by the way, no more touch screen sword swipes. So excited.

This and Oracle of Time lets you switch between past and future, Oracle of Seasons lets you switch the four seasons. Doing so in both changes the game world and lets you solve puzzles

I do hope there aren't any permanently missable items. I'm still a little pissed about that upgraded gust jar in Minish Cap.

That's something I learned just now. I wonder if you can do some dungeons out of order like in LTTP, that would be really sweet

What's really cool about the oracle games is you need to play both of them to complete the story, but you can do it in whatever order you like. After you beat one of them, the game gives you a code to put at the beginning of the other game, and it transfers over your name and an extra heart to start off with, and the game recognizes that you beat the other game and that you are half way done. Oracle of seasons gives you a rod that controls the 4 seasons. It's pretty neat, theres things you can and can't do in all seasons. For example, in winter you can walk across water because it freezes. In summer vines grow that you can climb to access other areas. Oracle of ages gives you control over time, you traverse between two time periods, the present and the past. Some cool things about these games is the additions of mounts (that aren't Epona) and some of them are optional. From what I remember there's a kangaroo and a panda that flys. In the games you save 2 of the 3 goddesses. In Seasons Din gets captured and in Ages Nayru gets captured. The games were supposed to be a trilogy so it's pretty clear that in the other one you would have to save Farore...instead Farore is like a librarian npc or something. Also the main antagonist is Twinrova from Ocarina of time who plan on resurrecting Ganondorf and succeed. None of this happens unless you play both games.

I'm sure if you had asked there someone would have answered The thing about SS is that it focuses almost entirely on the new control scheme but doesn't change much in terms of what you've seen before in a Zelda game (one boss you shoot in the eye with an arrow to hurt, haven't seen that before). SS has it's moments, like the Water Cistern Temple (4th I think?) and it's boss, but overall isn't as absolutely terrific as some people say it is. I couldn't stand fighting two of the bosses three times each with slight differences, like what the f***

Buttons instead of Touch Screen swipes? Now I'm DEFINITELY buying this game.
