North-east Burma has been rocked by two 7.0 magnitude earthquakes, close to the borders with Laos and Thailand, the US Geological Survey has reported.

Let's just call this earthquake month.

LOL, so many earthquakes.

Also, isn't it a coincedence that they both happened near each other.

Japan and Burma border completely different plates.
The movement is similar, but the difference based on the surrounding plates dictates whether they strike a certain one over another.
Also different plates means different fault lines, and thus the earthquakes will vary.

Not a total coincidence.

I wonder if this is like some chain reaction... First Japan, now Burma?
Not to mention both high-damage earthquakes.

Technically three because Japan had one and Burma had two.

...Some f***** at my school said that the "end is near, as predicted by the Maya."

Though this is pure coincidence. If another strong earthquake were to happen elsewhere, I'll be...
