OOC: Sorry for not being on yesterday...too much Metal Gear Online...

Serene heard Eton's voice reply to her. She faintly smiled, knowing him to be there for her. "Eton...I'm fine..." she began to mutter to him. "...but for a moment...I thought I was going to die..." The smile disappeared as she told him this. For once, she actually showed her deep rooted fears of death to someone. Too many near death experiences had brought her to this point. "I have this feeling inside of me, telling me that not matter what I do, I lead myself to near death in every battle I've been in. I've been counting them out, and now this has to be about the 14th time I've almost died..." Her voice just stopped cold there, she didn't say anything more.

Black King gave up and landed outside the town. He was just about to give up on her. A hopeless cause, that's what Serene was. She thinks she can fight, but in reality, she's just a stubborn daughter of a noble. He saw a lake in the distance, and brought himself to it, just for a drink.

"Hey, hey really!" Lex got up and backed away. "Come on, we don't have to fight! You know of course you're not going to lose your life because I'm not going to kill you. You're just a drunken brawler looking for an engagement and I'm surely not the one to help you there. I'm sorry, but I just refuse. I also fail to see what the terms of this grudge you have on me are. You're lucky I don't gouge your eyes out for brutally murdering my friend! However, I learn to forgive and forget. Now, if you don't mind, I need to see to my remaining friend's safety before your careless acts end his life, too. Miss Violet, do you know any song of hinderance or such that could slow this brute down and aid in our escape?"

He smirked, as he got closer. "Please, you left him to die. The only reason you're here is because of the girl." Cracking ihs neck as he took another step forward, he intended to kill Lex. "I'm not even drunk. Besides, you were going to kill me first." He smirked, thinking back to when he shot the arrow at the first man. "The look you had in your eyes, you think I don't recognize it?" The smirk crossed his face once more. "If you weren't going to fight me, you shouldn't have thrown a bomb at me. Your friend over there sure as hell didn't, and he's fine... More of less."

"Fine? Which wounded man are you looking at? He can barely breath, from his gasping. As for my eyes, I can't change the way they look. I also doubt you were able to see me from your sleeping position. And I threw the bomb because, again, you murdered my friend. Now, I'm going to say it once more, I don't intend to kill you or even take a swing at you. Please, I implore you to step down and get back to your business as if we had never entered this camp." He sighed." And I am most certainly not here just for the lady. Yes, she is rather cute and fun, but that does not compare to my long time partner whom I have grown to love..." Lex made a mocking smoochy face. "Ahem, jokes aside, stand down so that I may finally seek medical treatment. Also, do you know where the nearest town is that hasn't been ravaged or burned to ashes? The one we were just in is completely useless."

Jophiv didn't hear the man's voice, but his fateful steed jerked around at the sound. Jophiv tapped her hindquarters but she refused to move. Jophiv listened quite intently now. Voices, although faint, there were voices nearby. And then he saw where the beast had dropped, the voices were coming from that way. This time when Jophiv kicked, his stubborn mare moved. She moved ficklely through the debris, but stopped abruptly again. Jophiv was pissed now, the voices were right on the other side of the beast. But as he dismounted he noticed the man he almost stepped on.

"Licove good girl," Jophiv whispered, reaching down to check for a pulse.

Alive, for now.

Gabriel stood over Serene, fiddling with the staff in his hands. He remembered how to use it now. He held it out, perfectly still. He slowly moved his hand down and whispered a few words as the tip began to glow. The light wiggled and curled down the staff, then fell off of it like water. It vanished before touching Serene but her wounds began to close. They would not be healed entirely, but they would not be near fatal any longer. Gabriel smiled a little. He was very proud of himself in that moment, and if Lucifer were there he would be as well.

Violet looked around worriedly they had nothing to cure his allergic reaction and she had no spell that could cure anyone. She did not want anyone to die she was already feeling the churning in her stomach from the death of the other archer, which she had been to preoccupied to notice earlier. "Barbas settle what ever issue you have another time this man will die unless we get him medical attention" she was quite shocked by her sudden serious tone of voice. "Do you want any water?" she asked Leon, she had no idea how to deal with allergic reactions.

Windy whimpered in the stream where she and Tania had washed hours before. Her wings felt battered, pieces of the armour had fallen off or was dented out of a usable shape. When Black King arrived to get his drink of water she watched him jealously, he still had his rider.

As he grew closer to Lex, he stopped upon hearing Violet speak. "It's already too late," he told them. "The nearest town is too far away, and we can't treat him ourselves. "So, if you don't mind, I'd like to kill the one I intended to. d dIt wouldn't be fair that his friend gave his life just so he could see another day. The only reason I shot at him, was because he was running away." He began to think back to when he was near Leon. Then again, I did tell him I wouldn't kill him. On the oter hand, it isn't my fault. How was I supposed to know he would have an allergic reaction to the ice?"


He took a brief moment to ponder his next action. Would he continue to go after Lex? Or would he turn around in an attempt to save Leon's life. He's pretty much going to die any way. He sighed once more, gritting his teeth out of anger. "This is why I travel alone. Others are a burden to take care of. If a man can't take care of himself, he doesn't deserve to live." He took another step toward Lex, now several feet away from him. "Me or you, buddy. You can attempt to not fight, but I honestly won't stop. I shot a guy who didn't even know I was trying to kill him." He smirked upon thinking of the armored night in White Wolf. "One swift arrow to the eye slits in his armor."

Leon stood there. This talk about him dying, he wasn't about to let it, but then again, if his throat closed up and he couldn't breathe, he may not have much of a choice. He began to grasp his throat and wheezed a bit.

"Yea..Water." He said "Medicine too, any kind......If it get's to the point where.....I can't breathe....take my sword....stab me in the throat...make a opening so I can.....breathe."

He was determined to keep living.

"I don't want to die....not yet."


Eton held Serene close to him, the man had treater her wounds, they wern't as bad, but he was still worried. "Serene." he muttered under his breath. "I won't ever let this happen again."

Lex grabbed the adrenaline he had stuffed into his belt and tossed it to Leon. "Drink that, it'll lessen the swelling a bit, hopefully. Or at least it'll give you enough energy to get by. Yes, I know I could use to it kill this swine, but I've already proven my innocence in the matter. Now, step aside, you evil man. I will save my partner's life no matter the cost! Just because you say he doesn't have a chance does not relive me of the guilt or responsibility a friend's death bares. This is your last warning." Lex glared at the man, a defiant stare that would bring a bull to it's knees. If his intentions did not become clear now, they would never.

Leon watched as the adrenaline Lex through fell right next to him, Leon lacked the strength to move his arms however.

"Violet.....help me with that." He said to her, pleading. It would be the first time he ever had to actually rely on someone to save his life really. It was an odd feeling, to sit there helpless, not being able to do anything.

"Look, I could care less about my own life. I've done everything I've wanted." He stopped, motionless, staring at Lex. "Well, except for one thing. But it isn't that important." He took another step forward. "and because I've done everything I've ever wanted, I do not fear death. Nor do I take life seriously any more." He turned the step into a run, dashing at Lex. "I'm merely trying to fill the time I have left before death." He finished speaking, as he aimed a punch at Lex's face, letting out a grunting sound in the process. His mind began to plan his next action before the first had even finished.

Lex ducked and immediately turned around and ran in the opposite direction, circling the camp. "Oh, come on! Violet, when you're done, perhaps you could help me out with anything that you think would fit the situation. And don't worry, I'll definitely leave him alive." Lex made sure to use his speed to keep away from Barbas for as long as possible.

"You know, I'm an archer. I'm meant for speed and precision." He began to run after Lex, getting closer with each step. "You won't be able to out run me. And why not fight like a man, instead of running away?" He questioned to the man. "No matter what you think, you won't be able to out run me. Not for long, at least." He was determined to catch up with Lex, and take him down once and for all.



Charisma sighed as she looked at the tomb. "Fine, I'll try." She turned to Julius, before blinking and asking him, "What can I burn?" she wasn't sure what to start a fire on. As she waited for a reply from Julius, she gathered the words in her head, thinking if it would really work, or if she would screw up and cause someone pain as Julius had gotten from the arrow. If only she got that wind spell right...

Violet reached for the adrenaline and lifted up Leon's head. She poured the adrenaline down his throat, not too much though, she didn't want to drown the man. Barbas's words were chilling, to live like that waiting for death without anything to live for, she shuddered at the thought. "There is no way you've witnessed everything worth seeing" she said "And this fight is stupid" She tried to lift Leon "We have to get some sort of medical care or maybe an herbal remedy or maybe even a wise woman in a hut" she said. She attempted to help the man up.
