I have one of the official GameCube controller adapters (I'm lucky, I know), and I was wondering whether or not SSF2 was in some way compatible with it. Keyboard controls just aren't cutting it for me.

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to this stuff unfortunately. I found software that emulates the GC controller onto the keyboard, but I'm wondering whether or not it will sense analog directions or not.

Thanks! :)

You'll need a copy of Xpadder and drivers for your adapter.

Good luck. :)

I know that some third party ones are going out from Hong Kong that already work with computers. You could check it out here: http://smashboards.com/threads/mayflash ... le.385580/

I don't think he wants to buy another adapter.

Like Doqtor Kirby said, you'll need to search around for PC drivers for the adapter and get those installed. Then, download Xpadder (preferred) or any other similar program.

I used this to get my GC adapter connected to my PC. If you want a free software that does what XPadder does, use JoyToKey. I use it because I'm cheap, and I get good mileage out of it (even when trying to simulate analog). But Xpadder is better.

Managed to get it to work through a combination of vJoy and JoyToKey, thanks all who replied!

It's kind of laggy though... transferring input data from the controller -> adapter -> vJoy -> JoyToKey -> SSF2 probably isn't the most efficient.

Doesn't help that my laptop has 3 GB of RAM lol

I haven't found lag to be an issue even with 2 controllers plugged in, but I have 8 GB of RAM soooooo yeah.
