Hey everyone. I'm creating my own flash fighting game and i hit a bump in the road. can someone tell me how to make a platform and allow my character to jump on it without falling through? ive checked Google, YouTube, and various different websites and came close but never hit the mark. please help! ( I'm feeling like a total idiot  ) Even some sort of working action script code will work.

Wouldn't it be about handling collision? I don't know enough about action script to tell you.

Did you even check the forum's Flash Tutorials section?

Search on google for tutorials related to hitTest. Using hitTest, you can detect collisions between movie clips, which is essential while making a platformer.

:lock: Locked - reason... should be in the flash tutorials and help section... also there are plenty of tutorials not just on this site for something like this but on the web.
