They're two separate games. They've said both stories are about as long as Awakening.

Even if the west only gets the version with both bundled together, they're still two separate games.

This isn't like Pokémon. They share only a few chapters and then completely split.

Maybe more info on how the game works around both? We know little to nothing about that, that's something that I'll need to know if they're gonna be selling the hard copy in 2 separate games here as well. (which I really hope they won't do)
