I am sorry if I came out in a different light, but I am actually being very apathetic and objective. Misconceptions tend to arise with impersonal conversation like typing.
Defensive ultimates are for melee carries like Olaf, Xin Zhao, Renekton, [I would say Trundle and Morde, but they are on the fence in my opinion in if they are actually carrys]. Tanks like Garen and Rammus have offensive ultimates to help there attack output scale up [Shen has more of an escape and team fight ultimate because he already has offensive skills to make up for it]. The thing that makes Mundo not a tank is that he has almost no true tank skills and his defense is far less than any tank. Also Mundo is more tanky at life-steal/attack speed then with actual tank items. The idea that Mundo is not a good tank[and there are better ones for the job] and he is far better with more offensive styles. Basically it would be like me going AP with Ashe, I could do it but there are better AP users and Ashe is better as DPS.

Aye he is and he also has a damaging Ult like Garen, Rammus, Malphite and so on.
I just realized, I almost never see myself fighting Twitch or Malphite. I think I fight them once only.

Malphite is like a DPS that does more damage if he stacks armour. Very fun to jungle with.

Not only that but Malphite is really good as laning. His passive can block a shot from a turret which is always good when you are pushing. His W,E and a Sunfire cape[and a Thronmail though you don’t need it that early] will kill creeps at one of the quickest rates in the game. Also in the event someone tries gank him his defense[stats and passive] and his R will nearly always guarantee his escape. Lastly he can stop escapes pretty well with his R and Q[getting a Randiun also helps]. Malphite is basically a tank like Garen who can have a good damage output while still being a tank, though for some reason few people acknowledge how good Malphite is and consider him a surport tank.
On the topic of jungling. Warwick is the best jungler though in cases I would use Rammus because of his tankiness or Under for his damage output combined with tankiness. For someone like Malphite I wouldn’t jungle.

Its a matter of choice really. Mostly builds the same any how. But because Sunfire is now Unique Passive, I may have to rethink him a bit more.

I cannot disagree, most characters can be more than a single type depending on your runes and items. I have to agree that the nerf to Sunfires has made it harder to make Sunfire spam builds, but I find that a Zhonya’s Hourglass can sometimes help. I can’t wait till I get home and refresh my LoL skills.

Really, I'm just waiting on that Magma place, and then I'll start playing again.
Also, would Frozen Mallet be a good item for Caitlyn?

No. Frozen Mallet is if you are a tank or already can dish out enough damage to afford going tanky. As for the viability of its passive; same deal you want to have enough damage before you try to stop escapes. Cat doesn’t scale up well so it will be an uphill battle to try and make her damage viable. Basically focus on DPS and little else.

I see.
I only said that because everyone I face turns into a bot, runs away, and I miss the kill.

Having more damage items should have the same effect by killing them before they get away, and if they are getting away by that method then slowing them would have a negliable effect on their escape.

In most cases Randuins omen is a better choice than frozen mallet. For ranged dps though its a nice item for the health aspect. Not a bad item on kogmaw. It works best on tanky dps though. Xin, Trundle, Olaf etc. Raduins is usually a better choice though. Not a item I'd get a pure tanks though.
Regarding Malph he excels at solo laning and is pretty much unbeatable in lane unless theres a cho gath/mundo/gragas. His haras is strong and if you get catalyst first you won't be leaving lane anytime soon.

I have to say that Maplhite is one of the few characters that is almost to good to be allowed unnerfed. With a Sunfire cape he can farm creeps in a ridiculously high manner that only someone like Sivir can compete with. His passive shields against to much damage and he can use it far to consistently. The fact that he gains damage with Armor for his E makes him not only a good tank but also a decent DPS dealer. He also has a ranged attack for slowing to stop escapes when almost no other tank has a skill like it. Malph is so good that my old mentor even said he has no respect for anyone who plays Malph because they are being to “gay” by using such a good character.
