I just learned that the hard way. Can someone explain to me how Zelda's up special works? I always thought it went a predetermined, long range distance, and it couldn't be altered at all, but accidentally all the time I will use it and reappear only a few inches away. I went into training mode and slowed everything to 1/4x to see the window of time one has to apply the direction/distance. Let's just say, its very short. The only way I was able to move to a shorter distance was to angle the directional pad --> ---v toward the feet of the opponent or the intended distance. It's either the full distance, or maybe 3-6 steps shorter, I dont think it goes any shorter than that.

Would that make Claus "Redhead Blonde Ness"?
I do hope that Lucas gets more separated from Ness in gameplay. I know most of his standard attacks are different, but he's still often perceived as a Ness clone, and not many people will want to pay money for a clone character.
