Alright, two people have gotten banned from this thread alone already. I see one more single f*** post like these I've seen so far, and I'm gonna triple up on it. Keep your dumbass spam section mentality to that section.

My thoughts go out to the friends and family of the victims. That anyone would be capable of such a cruel act is frightening.

I hope that the families will be ok. It feels awful to hear about that.

After a certain amount of time on 4chan, stuff like this doesn't bother you as much.

maybe if you’re some edgy /b/ f** then sure

That and the fact that while /b/ may be known for the loli, they actually have cooperated with law enforcement on such crimes at least once to my knowledge.

The fact is though, I feel worse that the reactionary measure to this is to tighten or somehow worsen the gun laws in an already restrictive state.

Yeah, this. If somebody really wanted to kill, they could use a knife, their hands, or anything they could find. It isn't just guns.

from what I've heard the mother of the shooter had a whole crapload of guns at her house (like at least 20) and they practiced shooting there often
and I'm not just talking pistols, they had machine guns, rifles, shotguns
etc

I can understand keeping one small gun around your house for protection but who the flying f*** needs that many weapons

you guys gotta understand that if gun laws became as strict as they are here then there would be so many job losses of people like gunsalesmen and gun manufacturers

and people who are going to use guns to commit a crime are generally not the kind of people who care about the law anyway

"Adam Lanza, the 20-year-old who opened fire on a Connecticut elementary school last Friday, could literally not feel physical pain, Adam Geller of the AP reports.

In an interview with the news wire, Richard Novia, the advisor for Newtown High School's technology club said of Lanza's condition: "If that boy would've burned himself, he would not have known it or felt it physically."

more like cool shooting

Someone who likes guns and collects them maybe? You don't have to be someone who plans to shoot up a school to own more than one gun. I bet if the killer used swords and his mother owned a s*** ton you'd be saying the same thing.

Yeah, this. If somebody really wanted to kill, they could use a knife, their hands, or anything they could find. It isn't just guns.
I think this is a bit of a mixed issue. If a person really wants to kill, I'm convinced they'll use whatever they have at hand to do so. However, it's hard to dispute the fact that guns can easily lead to a higher amount of killings than any other weapon. There's also the fact that the only thing you'll end up accomplishing by tightening the legal circuit is making people go for the illegal market. Those who really want to get a gun, will get a gun. It's not like all those gangsters have any trouble getting their hands on weapons, so why would it be different for a psycho?

What I wanna know is who thought that teaching him to shoot was a good idea, considering his state of mind?
