Sorry I'm not trying to insult anyone but when people get to the point where they stop taking showers it gets pretty bad.

Most self-respecting fans of any musical genre don't give up basic hygiene rituals to support their passion

I find that people who like Metal are generally lower in personal hygiene than others

And when did you make this generalization?
When you saw 5 guys walking down the street where you live?

I've never seen any more of a gross, surface generalization since Kyzak attempted to show off his very shallow knowledge of jazz by saying "jazz musicians don't have long hair hurdur" without taking into account that most jazz musicians he listened to to seem intellectual were from the late 50s/early 60s when no one would have long hair. It's like saying Ornette Coleman ain't jazz because he chose to wear traditional African clothing instead of dressing up because they did that in the 50s/60s.

But I digress.
You're just a close minded imbecile who doesn't do any research (like most of the idiots on this forum) before you try to contribute to a serious conversation.

Whimzer, I hope you realize that I am basing my opinions off of the people and the things I know. I do not need to research about the hygiene levels of metal heads, of course I'm not speaking for CCS. What I was originally saying is that people who listen/like metal may not dress fancy but lots of the "posers" completely throw their hygiene out the door as well, this then creates an image for you and several other people. I'm sure that its very easy to see that CCS tends to have more of the "poser" friends than the actually supporters.

Normal, social savvy people usually won't listen to it even if they like it, because it has a very negative image
However less socially adept people don't understand the reasoning behind image (which is why they often dress like hobos and freak people out) so they just listen to what they like

There's a line between hygiene and "Image". Most people don't see it and that's why lots of the people that don't dress so fancy don't get accepted as easily, an image has been created for the people who listen to metal and what not - an image that doesn't necessarily belong. I know a lot of people that to listen to metal, they always represent wearing shirts or w/e but I've never seen any of them intentionally dress like s*** to fit the image.

Like I said, its not for image reasons
I don't understand fashion, and I also can't tell what kinds of clothes "look good" so I just wear T-shirts that I bought at concerts or something

Also as for the whole "hygiene" argument, those were probably scene kids
Scene kids are often unclean just as a way to be different. They want to be different because they say that being "normal" is superficial (ironically, they only change themselves on the outside, because they are in fact superficial)

It's more like they choose to smell horrible and not be included. Either way I get your point.
