you can tilt the special up/down to chase DI

With good DI, a light-weight can survive the sweet-spot to about 110% at the edge of most stages. If your heavier, like 130%-140%. Fthrow to Reverse Fair kills much earlier than that.

Naaah. Learning to control his speed, he's got epic setups and follow-ups.

Also, his Dash Jump-Cancel Grab range goes epically far. He can confirm it off of Nair and Bair at mid-level percents. He can slide far enough to chain-Fthrow Fox, Ichigo, and Falcon a few reps. Kind of hard to do on reaction though.

Sonic is DEFinately nerfed. I have fought against him with mario on pokemon stadium 3, and have found it easier. His recovery is weaker, I can easily gimp it, and with link, it should be easy to boomerang gimp him. :-) Just a bit of my insight.

I feel compelled to say that due to his nerfs, he feels like a low tier character now. But that's my opinion.

Currently Playing: Complacency breeds weakness. My opponents won't stop getting stronger, neither will I.
Considering that He has high speed, his grabs are still fairly good, he got more kill power as a tradeoff for losing some recovery (although, with the startup lag on the side b I don't see how it can hit but it probably can somehow, I'm not a Sonic main i'm looking in from the outside), but his vertical recovery remains really good, he has utility added to his d-spec, and his up-spec can even be used to semi-spike opponents (like a low priority shine). I don't see him dropping significantly, as he is still a great character but he might not be "obviously S tier" material.

I actually just noticed the difference, I couldn't do it in the previous build so I guess I was the last to know it was fixed

My bad, nice touch.

i think Sonic's sprite should match Mario's sprite pixel count, because it does not fit the pixel count of other characters

Only reason people would say hes low tier is because they have to actually think now to get a KO lol, it took a while to adjust cause in 9a i just light dashed everywhere.

Lol, people abused it that much?
Not shocked or anything, but still, that much?

Wow....
Normally I play Brawl Sonic and go offense, then I just run away whenever I get bored or mess up a combo, finally....

I TAUNT 8-)

Lol, the Sonic taunts are too annoying.
Light Dash is easy to hit with on Hueco Mundo's slope.

You have no idea how broken it was.
YouTube Video:

As you can see, in 0.9a Sonic could cancel Light Dash into N-air and if he did it close enough to the ground, he could immediately do it again. This meant that he could either break your shield or zero-death you very easily if Light Dash was mastered. Not only that, but Light Dash was arguably the best recovery move in the game, and made it really difficult to edgeguard Sonic. This single move not only gave Sonic the best offense in the game, but one of the best recoveries as well.

I totally know how broken it was, I mained Sonic for a time till' I got tired of just spamming a move over and over again.
Still, think it would be boring to use it so much though....doesn't that take out the joy of learning new combo's and AT's?

I've noticed that his forward throw combos into so much.

On non-lightweights, you can do forward throw>IMMEDIATE dash>Fullhop Bair. That can either KO an enemy near the ledge, or force them into an edge guarding situation.

On the really light characters like Jiggs and Kirby, you can do forward throw>Immediate dash>Nair or Uair.

Also, he has good mixups, but his most reliable KO move is his back air.
