One of the more satisfying overdrives.

Seymour's overdrive is like being on LSD.

Haven't played FFX in forever, totally forgot about that.

That was... interesting.

Also, I'm personally not that excited for X. The only actually challenging thing about the whole game is the monster arena fights and some of the Blitzball matches. Even Yunalesca and Omega were pathetically easy for me. Then again about half the bosses in the game I beat with no real thought only to later have a friend of mine ask me how.

Did you grind? That always ruins games like this.

I wouldn't call it grinding, as just more I'm VERY bad at sticking with the story in RPGs. I usually find myself screwing around with something COMPLETELY unrelated and usually in the wrong direction.

I sure as hell did for the first two. I got tired of getting raped by the same vampires (FF1) and werewolves (FF2).

The 3rd fight with Seymour must've been a breeze then. He is often considered one of the more difficult fights in the game.

Oh that animation for Seymour's Overdrive was also used in X-2 as the Blue Bullet skill Cry in the Night, obtainable from Mega Tonberry. Not an easy feat though, even at max level.

The one where he's fused with a giant Machina? Actually that fight was a b****. However I did get it on my third or fourth try, though.

The first time I fought him, he turned my character into a zombie and I was like "okay"
Then he used Full Life and I was like "f*** this"
I put off fighting him for the longest time, then eventually went back and beat him.

Went to my sister's house on sunday, she needed my help to fight Black Waltz No.1 and the Sealion in FF9.
Did it on my first try, she was surprised. FF9 might be my favourite, it was the first one I finished.

If she was surprised by that feat, you better be ready when she finds Gizamaluke. Tears will be shed.

She was having trouble because she had like 3 potions, and she was getting unlucky with the Sealions attack pattern.
When I fought them, the Sealion mostly used Wing and I tranced it to death.
Also ugh, Gizamaluke.

Gizamaluke... I always tend to remember IX as relatively easy game, but it had some bosses that were quite difficult. The final boss was also difficult. At least compared to the last bosses of VII and VIII.
