I already do that, but doesn't work on some characters at high %.

If I remember which characters it doesn't work on to kill with, i'll make the list here of it soon.

but is laddering with MK harder to do in ssf2 than in smash 4? Cause I don't remember, just curious (plus I don't main MK in smash 4 so yeah).

Ok, so I did do this in training mode, but I think some of the stuff i'm say here might still work when you face other players (MAYBE).
Also when I say a % like 120%, I mean doing the back throw up b while they are at the %.

The only stage I will test all this on is final destination.

Back throw to up b star KO/connecting:

:mario: kills at 111% and at 127% he gets out easily, but i'm pretty sure if you try this against someone else online, they can DI away from your up b earlier after being back thrown so it wouldn't reach (maybe) or away from the blast zone so it wouldn't ko at 111%.

:luigi: can't even connect the up b at 70% forget it.

:peach: can connect at 76% but at 77% falls out easily.

:bowser: star KOs at 120% (probably can DI out of it though).

:yoshi: 129% doesn't star ko, but at 130% it does ko (gravity?).

:wario: at 118%

:donkeykong: 133%

:link: 123%

:zelda: 82% to 140% (connects so easily, can probably be DI early, but can still get her up to 140%, didn't bother see if you can still do it to her past it, maybe later).

:pikachu: 75% it still connects and almost KOs, but doesn't KO. At 76% they get away easily.

:jigglypuff: 68% KOs, but looks very easy to DI, but it can potentially still KO till she reaches 77%.

:captainfalcon: 122% can do it even a 140%, didn't bother see if it you can still do it higher than that, but I think you can.

:gameandwatch: can KO at 81% and 82% but they look very easy to DI there. Higher % than that and it seems to easily KO him.

:kirby: 82% DI can maybe help, but KOs there. You can keep doing this to kirby between 82 to 91%, 92 he gets out.

:metaknight: 86% it connects but doesn't KO, 87% gets out easily.

:bandanadee: 81% can maybe DI out, but should KO at 82%.

:fox: wont KO.

:falco: wont KO

:marth: 75% it connects but doesn't kill, 76% they can get away.

:pit: can't even connect at 75%.

:samus: 93% (can probably DI it).

:zerosuitsamus: 99% to 101%(can probably DI at 99%).

:ness: connects 91% but doesn't KO

:chibirobo: can't connect at high percent to KO.

:isaac: almost KOs at 100% (if you do the small run after the back throw to up b it KOs, tho again, timing).

:sonic: he keeps getting out past 86%.

:tails: same thing as :sonic:

:blackmage: 97% but can probably DI it, can do it till 111%, but can get out at 112%.

:sora: 98% but can maybe DI, can keep doing to 125%, but past he can get out.

:megaman: 119% to 122%, can get out past.

pacman connects at 89% but doesn't KO, 90% they get away.

:lloyd: 97% connects but doesn't KO, past he gets out.

:bomberman: not even at 60% (the same thing I tried against :goku: , works on :bomberman: though at 117%).

:ichigo: doesn't seem to work on him at all to be honest.

:naruto: 81% it connects, but doesn't KO obviously.

:luffy: Can connect at 103% but doesn't kill, and he gets away at 104%

:goku: 110%, the thing is, when you do this to goku at 110% (or maybe a little higher), you can still catch him if you back throw, run quickly after and quickly up b before he's out of range of for the last hit for up b (so for this, you need good timing), this is the only way I see you can hit :goku: with this.

:sandbag: 117%

Because of how I tried to get the KO on goku, i'm go back another time and see if the same way works on other characters that I said could get out of it.

But some characters that can get out of it, it does seem like running a little bit right after the back throw into the up b MIGHT work, but again, i'll test that out later, but hopefully online.. maybe..

Ok.. So after putting evade on and trying this again on some characters, it doesn't seem to work FeelsBadMan.

I tried evade on :zelda: and tried it again but she was able to get away easily. Idk if online players can evade it just as easy but damn.

well evade makes the cpu di out, i would recommend psyching out your opponents with a lot of fthrows before going for the bthrow so they're trained to di the other way

Ok so everyone I see talk about how bad :metaknight: drill is (side b) to recovery is, probably don't know how to use it correctly.

Let's say for example we are on the TOS stage (tower of salvation), when you drill DO NOT AIM ON TOP OF STAGE OR FOR THE LEDGE, just aim the drill a little under the ledge so (maybe some cases you might wanna hold hold while drill is going) at the end of it, you grab the ledge.

If your very close to the wall and you drill, if your close enough to the ledge, you can still hold up with drill, and could most likely still grab the ledge.

I don't know how to make gifs yet (I know it's sad), but I can at-least try make a replay in showing you what I mean.

Drill can be used to recovery, just seems a lot of people don't know how to do it properly and get annoyed with how far back :metaknight: goes after it.

Felt like I should show this. This just something said by another member of the :metaknight: discord who played 9b (which I didn't play much).

This is the copy paste said in discord (so to be clear, not by me :colonthree: ):

The only real KB gripe I have is Dair
The move is a bit faster but still slow, but it doesnt do any sort of notable KB anymore as opposed to 0.9b where it was slow and strong
Granted back then it was outclassed by Bair and Nair because range/speed respectively, but it was still lethal against low recoveries
Now I just don't see its use.
