I seriously doubt there is much overlap between people who use Gamecube controllers to play Smash and people who will play the eight player mode more than once for the novelty

I want to see 4v4 tournaments
Man there's a lot of things to talk about in this Direct (I still can't wrap my mind around 8 player), but the coolest damn thing is that I finally got one of the characters on my wishlist

Nice touch.
Edit: The original 8 are in the same order as the Smash 64 select screen. Subtle, but I like it.

I'm kinda curious about the Wario Land: Shake It! music featured in the 50 fact extravaganza. I think it might just play on the Gamer stage, but I hope that there is actually a Wario Land stage.
