Imposible, we are already using .ogg files and the maximus compression for winrar, there is nothing we can do about it.

A Small preview ;)

EDIT:
Can you guys find a way to reduce the size of the file?

I love Crusade as much as the next guy, and I am a genuine fan, however I genuinely believe that going with prerendered 3D stages juxtaposing sprites is a really big design flop. A huge one, really. As good as the stages may look from a standalone position, if it's not going to be rendered in game and change according to the camera's dynamic it's more negative than positive. That's just my two cents however. Lookin' good.

I feel like your workaround is harder than the task you're working around in the first place

just my 1 cents

Well, it isnt that ahrd, it doesnt take me more than 1 day to finish an stage, a sprited stage would take days to weeks to be finished (with a good quality)

I'm not trying to diss this game or anything, but why do I have the feeling that this game focuses more on quantity rather than quality?

Also, is this game a good stand-in for Smash Flash 2 0.9 until the latter comes out?

Thanks in advance!

It has been more focused on quantity for the first 8 games but it'll try to improve more on quality in versions 0.9, 1.0 and so forth. Their goal was not making a highly professional smash brothers game but a more packed one so it leaves players with a huge amount of content rather than to play it for one day but you are correct.

Quality > Quantity

Still, SSBC has proven to be a good game. According to Jaklub (a Coder of SSBC), Expect plenty of mechanical tweaks and fixes for v0.9
